What are you reading in November 2019?

Onto New Spring for now, then a reread of Skyward in preparation for Starsight at the end of the month
I finished Blood Song and plan on reading the series. I'm reading The Lord Collector, which is a short story set in the same world as the series.

I'm in the middle of three - I'm just not feeling booky lately, too many worries in my head. But, I did read a thriller type In a Dark, Dark Wood, which I finished in one sitting :)

I haven't really felt like reading this days due to personal problems (the most important being: boiler broke down, no hot water nor heating :O), so I have been indulging in re-reading "light" favorites in audio: first Skyward for M-Bot babbling about mushrooms, then The Crown Tower for some Royce & Hadrian banter :D

That looked really interesting Jim. I've added it to my TBR list.

I'm really disappointed with Tower Lord. It didn't seem to fit the series well and I don't like it when brand new "main characters" are introduced so far along in a story line. Especially when it doesn't seem to flow well and there's really no reason to do it. After reading several reviews about the next book I'm done with the series, which is a shame because Blood Song was such a great story. I may start Wrath after I do The Spookshow.

... Zombies on the moon?!? That sounds both so stupid & exciting haha :D
Ex-Heroes by the same author is on my shortlist. Has been pitched to me as "superheroes in zombie apocalypse" lol.

Read The Spookshow. It was ok. Too short but creepy. It would have been a great Halloween read. Now I'm reading Elven Winter. It's actually really good. I didn't realize that it's book 2 in a series but I'm not lost and it reads great.

Now back to the Lightbringer series and on Book 3 The Broken Eye I am reading the series but am reminded of why I gave up when the books first came out. The plots are great and I love the world building and magic system but I just don't care about any of the characters. Not sure why but that makes the books quite hard to read for me.

I did the same thing. It took me six months to get through Tower Lord, and that was only because I switched to audio. That wasn't a great idea, as the narrator made it worse.

I really like the cover of book 2. I've been seeing it here or there, it really nails the "oh hell, that's a big one" sentiment :p

It really was not that bad of a story, it actually was a good military fantasy but it did not fit the trilogy.

Started A Little Hatred. I think Abercrombie's got another winner here. :)
Finished Elven Winter. It was good. I might do more of the series next year. Now on to Empire of Ivory.

I've posted that I'm reading non-fiction in here. You have to work a little harder to get to full-blown traitors status.

I honestly think some non-fiction is fantasy. LOL.

Have finished The Broken Eye although it was an effort. Not sure why I find them so difficult to read as I really enjoyed the Night Angel trilogy.

I've finished my re-read of The Crown Tower just in time to get to the newly released Starsight. The narrator (Sophie Aldred - UK version) really delivers the humorous moments perfectly.
In ebook, I'm still reading Worm. I'm on track to finish this 7000 pages monstrosity before 2020! :D
