Sorry, I thought I'd replied earlier but musn't have pressed post properly on my phone. Goodreads doesn't work that great on my phone, only my computer. Anyway, there are 8 chapters. I've just sent you chapter 4. Phew! I didn't think I was going to get it done today, got a bit busy with family stuff.

Thanks :) And I just realised, some of the later chapters are small, so may get sent out combined, eg. chapter 5 and 6.

Chapter four done!! Loved it a just want to scream at Reilly and tell him if he is so good at hockey then he will get picked to go progressional so please tell brook to beat it lol. Loving it and ending on a cliffhanger again it’s killing me. Roll on the next chapters.

I’m liking the story so far. I like that Lucy has finally realized her worth. I cringed at the arrangement. I didn’t like that at all but we seem to be on a better path now. Riley needs to know his worth now. Seems the team needs him like he needs to be on the team. Brooke, ugh I don’t know how he has put up with her this long with her talking and treating him that way, hockey or no hockey.

Yes, I'm finding that both Lucy and Riley need to find their self-worth. Riley knows he's a great player but his fear of failing is getting the better of him, allowing him to let Brooke get away with her behavior. And you'll find out just how manipulative Brooke is, more so than what you're seeing now. She's not just manipulating Riley, she's doing it to many people, one person in particular who has a massive secret that they don't want getting out. In the followup to THE CHEAT, you'll get Brooke's perspective, which makes things so much more interesting. Plus, the seeds of a murder mystery starts in that book (The Cheerleader).

Anyway, thanks! It's great to hear what you like and don't like, it gives me an idea of whether things work or not.

I read the four chapters in a row because I just couldn't stop.
This story is totally different from what we are used to reading.
Heroin is impressive. Risky, brave and creative.
Hero is super sexy and a bit broken. Book boyfriend alert.
Plot is innovative and entertaining.
