Where dragonets from the Quartz Winglet can hang out.

Avocado ran into the room. She was so excited. Her first day of school! She bounced around the room, looking at everything. She changed colors with every bounce, showing off every color of green imaginable.

Puffin slowly walked into the room and looked around. She walked over to a corner and sat down, hoping that no one would bother her. She sighed softly, "Maybe people are nice here?" she asked herself and then snorted, "I doubt it"

Avocado saw the new dragon and stopped mid bounce, and mid color. “Hello!” She said excitedly. “Are you in the Quartz Winglet? Wait, if course you are or you wouldn’t be in here! Hi, I’m Avocado!” She said energetically. “It’s because I’m usually an avocado color.” She looked down at her scales and saw they were about five different colors of green. “Oops!” Avocado changed to her normal color of pale green. “Who are you?”

Puffin looked around, hoping that the energetic RainWing was talking to someone else. Sadly, there was no one else other than herself and the RainWing, who was apparently named Avocado.

She blinked and sighed, "Nice to meet you Avocado, I'm Puffin, and yes, I am in the Quartz Winglet" she said.

Please, please pleeease decide that you want to talk to someone else! Puffin thought at Avocado

“Puffin! That’s a cool name!” Avocado exclaimed. This dragon didn’t seem too talkative, but she didn’t really notice.

“What kind of dragon are you? I’m a RainWing, but I’m sure you guessed that already.” She laughed and started bouncing again, changing colors of green with each bounce.

Avocado looked around. “So far, you’re the first dragon here!” She exclaimed. “Well besides me.” She giggled.

Puffin forced a smile, "Thanks! Avocado's an interesting name!" she said.

"I'm a SkyWing-IceWing hybrid," Puffin explained, curling her tail around herself. She frowned and looked down at her dull talons.

Puffin nodded, "Do you know who else is in the Winglet, other than us?" she asked

“Why thank you.” Avocado bowed giggling.

“Wow! I’ve never seen a SkyWing or an IceWing before!” Avocado exclaimed. “That mist be awesome!” She resumed her bouncing and color changing.

“Nope. You’re the first one I’ve met.” She admitted. “I wonder when the others are going to get here.”

Puffin smiled at Avocado, "Being a Sky-Ice hybrid isn't really awesome..." she said, "Because I'm a hybrid, I don't have frost breath, or fire breath, I mean, I have weak fire breath, but nothing that could actually do something" she said.

"My wings are too large and my claws aren't sharp. I have the awesome spikes of an IceWing, but I'm really small," she complained

Puffin sighed, "Anyways... Sorry for complaining," she said.

"The others should be coming soon," she said, looking at the cave entry, willing other dragons to come in the save her from talking to the green, energetic bundle that was Avocado.

“You still look awesome!” Avocado reassured. “And don’t worry, I don’t care if you complain.”

She bounced over to the door. “Hopefully they get here soon! I can’t wait to meet more dragons!”

She then bounded over to Puffin. “I’ve never been outside of the Rainforest Kingdom. It’s so much fun meeting all those new people!”

Avocado looked at Puffin’s face. “I’m annoying you aren’t I?” She asked, her tone deflating. “It happens all the time. I’m too talkative and energetic for most dragons. They usually avoid me.”

She sighed. “I’ll just go.” She turned to the door, turning a dull green color. “Maybe there’s some more dragons out there.” She walked out with her head down.

Puffin shook her head, "You aren't annoying me! Don't leave! I'm just not used to meeting other dragons!" she said

She frowned, "I'm sorry! I just was surprised by how energetic you are! I just haven't met many dragons, so my socializing skills are a bit nonexistent..." Puffin said.

"I didn't mean to offend you or upset you! Really! I just am not use to talking to others and being near them!" she said

Avocado peeked back in the room. “That’s not really true, I am annoying.” She countered. “And super talkative and excitable.”

“Don’t worry, you didn’t offend me.” She shrugged. “I’m used to it by now.”

Avocado shook her head. “It’s fine. I’ll just go and find some other dragon to annoy.”

Puffin frowned, "Stay! You weren't being annoying!" she protested.

"I was being rude, it's not your fault!" she said.

"Don't leave! I'm sorry!! I was being really rude to you! I would rather you stay here!" Puffin frowned and looked at the ground.

Good job, you made an enemy on your first day! a sarcastic voice in her head told her

Avocado crept back into the room. “Are you sure?” She asked. “I don’t want to bug you.”

“No, you weren’t being rude.” Avocado shook her head. “I’m just waaaaaayyyy too energetic.”

“You want me to stay?” She asked in wonder. No one had ever wanted her to stay.

Avocado’s color brightened a little and she sat down in a cushion by the door.

“I promise I won’t be annoying!” She vowed. “At least, I’ll try not to be.”

Puffin nodded, "I'm sure I want you to stay!" she said, trying to sound happy.

"I'm sorry about my earlier behavior!" Puffin said, "I'll try and act nicer!"

She watched the RainWing sit down on a cushion nearby the entryway and smiled at her, "What do you like to do in your free time?" she asked, trying to start a conversation

“Ok!” Avocado said, concealing her excitement. Inside, she was like, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

“I like to play in the forest.” Avocado said wistfully. She missed her rainforest. “I love playing games and I do it all the time! Well...whenever anyone wants to play with me.”

Puffin nodded, "Nice! What kinds of games do you play?" she asked, "Maybe you could teach me some?"

Avocado looked surprised. “Well, I like to play Keep Away, but nobody plays that anymore because I always won. We would also play Find It First where one dragon says something then the other two would have a race to see who could find it first. Or games like Tag which was fun in the tangled trees of the rainforest. Or Hide and Sleep which is like Hide and Seek, but everyone always falls asleep when they’re hiding.” Avocado giggled.

Puffin nodded, "Those games sound cool! Maybe sometime you could teach me how to play them!" she said

“Really?!” Avocado almost fell backwards in surprise. “You really want to learn?!”

Puffin shrugged, "It would give me something to do?" she said

“Ok!” Avocado jumped up and resumed her color changing bounces. “Let’s go get some more dragons!” She exclaimed.

Puffin smiled, "Do you have any idea where we might find some more?" she asked

“Uh.... no.” Avocado admitted. “You’re the first dragon I’ve met so far.”

Puffin frowned, "Huh.... Maybe in the prey cave or library?" she asked

“Ok! Let’s try there!” Avocado bounded out of the room and disappeared down the hall.

A minute later, she came back. “Uh... where is the Prey Cave?” She asked sheepishly.

Puffin shrugged, "I'm not sure! Why don't we try and find it together?"

she walked in glancing at the book shelves

Nutmeg flew into the Quartz Winglet. He bumped into a bookshelf and tumbled to the ground. "Ow..." he mumbled, standing up.

omg are u ok???

she went to reach her hand out but stopped *a night wing* she thought

"Um, yeah, I'm fine," Nutmeg said, brushing a bit of dust off of himself. He glanced up at Dawn nervously, like he always was around people that he's never met.

she shifted at bit to the wall thinking * great first dragon i meet here a night wing...* 😟 *they can't be that ad he looks... fine? right not mean and stuck up? just clumsy...?*

"Well... It's nice to meet you, Dawn," Nutmeg said, smiling a little bit.

"nice to meet you too"

she smiled. her wings pushed close to her back. she never met another breed of dragon.. but her brain buzzed with worry

"So...uh..." He glanced around. "I don't think Ladybug is here yet... Maybe she got lost. That's probably it. Hopefully she gets here soon..." He murmured.
