Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 11206 comments 5.3 - Euterpe
Muse Euterpe is always depicted holding a flute, often with many other musical instruments surrounding her. She was the muse of music. Read a book with an identifiable musical instrument on the cover. Ex:
The Pianist by Władysław Szpilman A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan Accordion Crimes by Annie Proulx The Tin Drum (The Danzig Trilogy, #1) by Günter Grass The Soloist by Mark Salzman

The butterfly is on some sort of...flute...or recorder...or something? Okay, so I know nothing about instruments but I'm pretty sure that is one.

There's a mandolin on the cover.

Go to listopia page and type in musical instuments on the cover

That's a good way to do it. You can also keep checking back here as people will often do as Pat did and recommend something that works.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not too familiar with GoodReads, I keep forgetting about searching the lists. I expect I'll be more comfortable with it by the time this challenge finishes. :)

I've decided to use Twelve Drummers Drumming for this one and the next book, with a similar cover, for 30.0 option 4. I hope I end up liking the series.

Yes, there are instruments on there. They're really small, though, and easy to overlook so be sure to point them out when you post the completed task.

Is there enough there for this to work or too small?

Since the actual drum isn't shown, I'd have to say no to Rock Courtship (Rock Kiss, #1.5) by Nalini Singh , but The Mighty Storm (The Storm, #1) by Samantha Towle works. The guy in the middle is obviously holding a guitar.
