'To All the Boys I Loved Before' series by Jenny Han were a quick read for me and very good! I was a little put off by the third book, but the ending made up for it and I read it with a friend and we enjoyed talking to each other about it.

Denise | 2 comments I’m reading SLAY by Brittany Morris. It’s a YA book.. At first I thought I made a mistake in choosing it, but as I continue to read it I found it to really keep my interest. I don’t know much about video games, but to me it was more about learning about black culture and The difficulties that young adults have growing up. I would totally recommend it.

Lauren Bennett | 3 comments I just finished reading Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents by Octavia Butler. Octavia Butler is a Black author and much of her upbringing as a Black woman in America carries major themes in the novels.

It’s trippy because it takes place in the 2020s - 2040s. America is on an accelerated decline, crime and drugs are out of control and a very conservative religious group becomes more and more powerful.

If you like the Handmaid’s Tale you’d like these! Let’s talk if you read them!

I read ‘Mirage’ by Somaiya Doud (I apologize if I misspelled!) which is about Amani becoming a body double for the hated princess Maram, because it is feared she will be killed in public during appearances. Very quick and easy read!
