Stephanie was suspected by Sebastian of at least an affair of the heart with Russell Firth. Did you suspect more? Ever question the twins’ paternity?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I didn't believe Stephanie or Firth about the platonic aspect of their friendship. I did wonder how she could have brought herself to marry the man who raped her, and this solution to her pregnancy problem was truly foolhardy. But she was a rebel and maybe more naive than she believed herself to be.

I was buying their lie about not having slept together...silly me. I thought it an affair of the heart.

How ironic that those babies weren’t even Ashworth’s! He knew it but had to live with that knowledge in order to keep his inheritance. But, once they were born, those twins were the green light for his father to off him.

What a terrible family.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments Yes, just in case it was nature rather than nurture, I was glad that line ended.

Joanna | 139 comments I suspected they had feelings for each other, but I never guessed about the twins until the end.

Glad I wasn’t alone!

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Me too, Charlene.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments I'm with everyone. I didn't suspect that the twins were Firth's even if there was an affair. I figured Ashworth was the type that would call Stephanie out on being unfaithful, and have her put to death.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments I didn't want the twins to be Ashworth's either and I'm so glad they aren't. Lindly must have heart Ashworth threaten them and that cinched his decision to off his son.

Stephanie showed she is truly Amanda's daughter in the way she set up Ashworth. I'm glad he didn't get a chance to kill her.
