Some appealing choices, Carol. I recognize titles and authors from TBR list.

Carol (carolfromnc) My first book of 2020 will be The Lewis Man by Peter May. I’m 90 or so pages in and delighted.

Read that book quite a few years ago. Will be interested to hear how you find The Chess Men.

I ended up not being a huge fan. A little too much romance, family relationships, stock characters for my taste, which is a little more dark; however, I’d be willing to try another. He did quite a good job depicting a character with dementia. Is The Chess Men your favorite May?
