In order to encourage participation in the readalong discussions, we ask that the author of the book refrain from commenting or joining in the discussion threads. We love having author involvement in the group, but we want members to feel free to openly discuss the selected book without feeling as though the author is in the room.

We start all book discussions on the 1st of each month, using % or page # read and spoiler tags when necessary so as not to spoil. I hope you can join us! Feel free to jump in on previous discussion threads at any time.

Cool, thanks!

We have some BIG NEWS!
Starting this month, we are moving our #lohfreadalong discussion to Discord! Join us here: https://discord.gg/DxnnzN8e
The invitation is good for 7 days. If you'd like to join after that date please let us know and we'll send out a new invitation.
And the October book will be: THE LAST HOUSE ON NEEDLESS STREET by Catriona Ward! This book has already been a huge hit with our team members and we think it will definitely spark some interesting conversations.
We hope you'll join our shiny new server!

This one shouldn't expire. Unless I messed it up!
How are the books chosen?
Each month the Ladies of Horror Fiction team choose ten titles. We choose these titles based on affordability and availability. We are not affiliated with any publisher, promoter, or author. Books are chosen from a range of titles that we feel will appeal to the community. We then create a poll that allows the community to vote on the title they would most enjoy reading. The poll runs for several days on or around the 15th of each month. In the event of a tie we may choose to create a tie-breaker poll with the 3 top books in lieu of managing two ongoing discussions. The book that gets the most votes from the community will be up for discussion at the beginning of the next month.
We welcome everyone to vote and participate in an open and honest discussion. Please remain civil and respect each others opinions.
