DAISY CHAIN, REINVENTED

Way back when, over in the WRC Group, we had a challenge called the Daisy Chain Title Challenge. What seemed like an easy challenge at the time, turned out to be not-so-easy. In fact, I think I lost mine somewhere in the shuffle, and never completed it.

I thought it would be fun to tweak it a bit, and perhaps give it another try here in the SCC group.

Here is how it works: The goal is to link 10 books using the last letter of a book title of the first book to connect to the first letter of the book title of the second book. This is a different way of connecting than the original challenge, so hopefully this will be a bit easier. The words "A", "An" and "The" may be used or ignored - your choice. Sub-titles may be used or ignored.

EXAMPLE:
1. Honolulu

2. Unnecessary Roughness: Inside the Trial and Final Days of Aaron Hernandez (connecting to the last letter of the first book, U)

3. Summer Island
(connecting to S - but you could also connect to the Z by using the sub-title)

4. Diamonds Are Forever
(connecting to D)

5. The Roman Hat Mystery
(connecting to R)

6. Yellow Crocus
(connecting to Y)

...and so on.

QUESTION: Do books have to be read in the order listed? Is it best for me to create my list first or should the list be made as I read the books?

Yes - read in order, Karen. I just do mine as I go along...which is why it is taking me soooo long to complete the challenge.

If you are good with following through with a list once you've made it, I would say it may be easier to make your list first...and then just read them right down the list in order.

My problem is, once I make a list, all of a sudden I find myself not wanting to read anything on that list. So for me personally, it works better to just connect the books as I go, rather than work from a list.
