Maybe: A Heart So Fierce and Broken (I would have to read the 1st one first)

I have Unspeakable Things from Firstreads, so I may or may not get to it.
I have Big Lies in a Small Town, which I am starting now, and Into the Fire through NetGalley. I still need to read the rest of the Orphan X series before I can get to Into the Fire. I'm excited to be reading Big Lies in a Small Town. I have high expectations for this one.
I have Lost Hills on my TBR, but I have no idea why. There is no description on the book page and I don't have it shelved as one I got for free, so I have no clue why I added it. Maybe it was recommended??
I also have I Choose You on my TBR and I don't know how I came across it. It looks interesting, but it already has a vey low star rating. Maybe I should stop randomly adding books to my shelf...
I want to read Come Tumbling Down and The Conference of the Birds. They are both new releases in series I've enjoyed.
I'm interested in The Janes, but don't know if I'll get to it. And I'd still like to read The Plum Tree, which is just a new release of a 2012 title.
So basically, I have quite a few on my TBR, but I'll probably only read half of them.

I just added The Wife and the Widow
to my tbr too. I really enjoyed the last book I read by this author and this one sounds interesting.
Savanes, I'll be curious to see what you think of This Is Not How It Ends
, if you get to it. I really don't like love triangle stories, but this sounds like it is more than that. I'm curious if it's well done or just a lot of angst and desire.

I have seen a few here i am adding to my TBR list American dirt, sagavage the stars, the delimma and blossom in winter

But I only own/preordered:

so we'll see which ones I really read LOL

When You See Me, one of my all time favorite authors
The Other People, I have it from NetGalley
Lost Hills, I think it was free last month from Kindle First, Kristie, bc I have it in my TBR too.

Oh!! Thank you! I just looked it up on Amazon. I guess I didn't choose it as my free read, but I must have liked the book summary because I added it.

There are a few I want to read this month. I really want to read The Sun Down Motel. I thought The Broken Girls by the same author was great, but NetGalley told me no and my library doesn't have it. I'll request my library purchase a copy before I decide what to do.
I have Thief River Falls and The Names of the Dead through Kindle first. I may get to them eventually.
I preordered Deathless Divide. I just finished a buddy read of the first book in the series, so I'm looking forward to this one.
I enjoyed the first book in the Veronica Speedwell series and I just saw that A Dangerous Collaboration come out this month. I'd be interested to read more in that series.
I'm also interested in The Last Confession of Autumn Casterly and Follow Me. I'll wait to see if my library purchases a copy of either.

Vicki - I'm interested in that Tracy Crosswhite series too. I purchased the first in the series, My Sister's Grave, years ago but never got around to reading it.
Also, All the Bright Places is a re-release from a few years ago. I read it a while back and really enjoyed it. It is a bit of a YA tearjerker. I'd recommend it to fans of the genre.

The Authenticity Project & The Queen's Fortune: A Novel of Desiree, Napoleon, and the Dynasty That Outlasted the Empire

Writers & Lovers is a March BOTM choice which I ordered and I have The Glass Hotel and The City We Became on hold at my library - should get to read them sometime this summer (LOL) - love both Emily St. John Mandel and N.K. Jemisin

The City We Became (I loved the author's previous work), Now, Discover Your Strengths, You Are Not Alone, Darling Rose Gold, A Good Neighborhood, If I Never Met You and maybe My Dark Vanessa But what I really NEED to read is House of Earth and Blood!

I'm reading Darling Rose Gold now. I also have The Forgotten Home Child, Unfollow Me, and Sparrow to review.
I got A Killer's Wife through Kindle First, so I might read that eventually. I also thought This Terrible Beauty and The Silence looked interesting from the program and I had a difficult time deciding which one to get. I probably won't read wither unless I find them as a Kindle deal one day, but I've added them to my maybe read list.
I've also heard good things about My Dark Vanessa. I'll check to see if my library has this one. Also, The Kingdom of Back might be a maybe.

I have Little Secrets, The Book of Lost Friends, and The New Husband to read through NetGalley. I hope to read them all in April.
I also really want to read The Big Finish. I think it looks like it will be funny or at least cute. I haven't been able to locate a copy of this one yet, so it will probably be a while before I read it.
I have Wall of Silence through First Reads. I think it sounds good, but I have no idea when I'll get to it.

I also have The Missing Sister which I got from Kindle First. It seems like I rarely get to those though.

The Happy Ever After Playlist, Camino Winds & The Girl and the Stars

Usually May is loaded with new releases that I want to read, but this year is a little light for me.
I'm interested in the new Hunger Games book: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I picked up The Girl Beneath the Sea from Kindle FirstReads. Those are the only two that are currently on my TBR.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (even though I'm a bit wary of prequels in general), House of Dragons, The Prisoner's Wife & Beach Read. A very diverse selection.

I have concerns too. I was hoping it would be a story about Haymitch's time in the hunger games, but it is about Snow. I don't don't know how I feel about him being our hero. It's hard to root for him knowing who he turns into.

I'm interested in Golden Poppies. I got it free from Kindle First. I loved Yellow Crocus, but I still need to read Mustard Seed. They aren't technically a series because they stand alone, but they follow the same people and I want to read them chronologically.
I am planning to read Little Creeping Things and All the Broken People this month. I'm not super excited for them, but I was sent widgets of both and they look like they could be interesting. I didn't see All the Broken People on the list, but it publishes on the 30th.
I also have The Swap on my maybe read list. I'm not sure how it got there, but it looks like it might be good.

There are a couple of others I'm interested in, but they published previously. Must be new editions coming out.

- Devolution: A Firsthand Account of the Rainier Sasquatch Massacre (by World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War's author)
- The Whisper Man, another creepy summer read! ;)
- Chick lit: The Marriage Game & She's Faking It
- HF: The Golden Hour

I am also interested in Eliza Starts a Rumor and Death in Her Hands, but will wait and pick them up from the library whenever it reopens.

Is The Whisper Man actually a new release for you? That is one of the books that I plan to read (I have it from the library now), but it originally published almost a year ago in June of 2019. It was a Goodreads Choice Award Nominee for Mystery & Thriller last year.
I'm always curious about the older books on these lists. Are they just being released in other places? New editions? Mistakenly put on the list?

I don't think they get mistakenly put on the list. Every time I've noticed and checked, it's always to do with a re-release (or new release in a different country)

I thought this was not new too... And when I checked the publication date was in June but it must be a re-release! :)

Exactly!
