I love all the In Death books, but that's good to know Sandra. Thank you!!

I've started collecting them for when my granddaughter gets older. Right now she is 8 and is reading the Harry Potter set that I got her for Christmas along with the complete bedding set.. I am so hoping she will turn into a mystery fan.

It’s so nice that she can still deliver a 5-star book in this series after 49 books. The 50th was definitely golden.

Darren | 29 comments I have just finished,After Anna, By Alex Lake. Definitely a must read for any fan of psychological suspense/thriller. I finished it this morning, this afternoon I started, crisscross, by James Patterson.

message 17: by Jalayne (new)

Jalayne | 78 comments I finally finished "Naked in Death". I had a setback where the audiobook suddenly got deleted from Youtube, so I had to improvise with an online copy.
I enjoyed this story. Reading about Eve's character arch before she and Roarke get together was very fun. She is a feisty;troubled; independent; stubborn;relentless; serious; driven; and passionate. Roarke though I believe will be very crucial in getting her to acknowledge and talk about her abusive past. I'm looking forward to reading the next books and witnessing their relationship and dynamics grow. Also, now I know where the cat came from.

Robin (robinmy) | 1389 comments Winter is a great time to curl up and read a book. I've been working my way through a couple of them.

First I read About Last Night by Samantha Hunter About Last Night by Samantha Hunter. I didn't care for the plot of this book. And, I thought the secondary romance was better than the one between the main characters.

I listened to Murder at Feathers & Flair by Lee Strauss Murder at Feathers & Flair by Lee Strauss. Good cozy mystery. The narrator does a great job with the various accents.

Renegade ♥ (renegadeheart) | 725 comments I recently finished The Moment of Lift How Empowering Women Changes the World by Melinda Gates and it was a thought-provoking, sometimes heartbreaking, but also inspiring read, that I'm still thinking about and processing...

I'm currently listening to A Reaper at the Gates (An Ember in the Ashes, #3) by Sabaa Tahir by Sabaa Tahir (which is the third book in the Ember Quartet and read by multiple narrators) and enjoying it. I really like narrator Steve West's voice. I found this on his Twitter from August of last year and it made me laugh so I'm sharing it with all of you:

Just some of my August:

A hulking fae warrior.
A billionaire playboy Scotsman.
A serial killer who feeds on pain.
A huntsman turned vampire.
The narrator of a dystopian dragonland.
An Interstellar Caveman.

The Rescue (Ryan Decker #1), by Steven Konkoly.

message 39: by Darren (new)

Darren | 29 comments Here is the description for my above post:
Former CIA operative turned mercenary for hire Ryan Decker’s specialty is rescuing kidnap victims. Hired by an influential US senator to liberate his daughter from a human-trafficking ring, Decker never anticipated sabotage or that the assault could go so disastrously wrong. The hostage is dead. His team is wiped out, and so are their families, including Decker’s own wife and son—eliminated one by one by the Russian mafia. And he’s survived to take the fall. When he’s inexplicably freed soon into a ten-year sentence in federal prison, Decker suspects another setup. And private investigator Harlow Mackenzie knows he’s right. She has evidence that a power greater than the Russian mob was behind the raid that ruined Decker’s life. The next move in a nationwide cat-and-mouse game of high-level sedition is up to them. Fueled by revenge and an obsession to clear his name, Decker has only one mission: to destroy a growing conspiracy before it’s too late.
