Melissa | 95 comments #1 I Can't Make This Up: Life Lessons

Loved the audible narration, but I've read much better memoirs.

Good luck on reaching your goal! Looks like you're off to a good start!

Melissa | 95 comments #3 Bottle of Lies: The Inside Story of the Generic Drug Boom

Terrifying and informative, this has to be one the the best books I've read. I don't like taking meds in the first place, but I will be hyper vigilant going forward. A must read for everyone.

Melissa | 95 comments #4 Take Control of Your Life by Mel Robbins

I love these audible original books by Mel Robbins. Love the coaching sessions and how you can find something in each session that can apply to your life.

Melissa | 95 comments #5 Crazy Rich Asians

Loved this book. Was a perfect vacation read :)

Melissa | 95 comments #6 Open Book

Loved it!! So candid and moving.

Melissa | 95 comments #7 Stay Hungry

1000% read this on audible. It's like watching him on tv lol

Melissa | 95 comments #8 What I Know for Sure

Reread; quick and easy to get through. I like to read this book and her other, The Wisdom of Sunday's, whenever I want a feel good book to pick me up.

Melissa | 95 comments #9 The Wives

The start of my quarantine reading lol. Kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat.

Melissa | 95 comments #10 The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life's Direction and Purpose

I wanted something positive and uplifting to listen to and this book delivered. Quick and easy read/listen. I haven't met an Oprah book I didn't like.

Melissa | 95 comments #11 Next Level Basic: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook

One of the worst books I've ever read. Wow. So glad I read this for free and didn't spend any money on it. Otherwise I would've asked for a refund.

Melissa | 95 comments #12 The Tattooist of Auschwitz

Was not expecting to be so moved by this book. I had been wanting to read it for a very long time, and am happy I finally did. Planning on reading the follow up soon.

message 17: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #15 Cilka's Journey

Not nearly as good as The Tattooist of Auschwitz

message 18: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #16 Behind Closed Doors

Decent psychological thriller, but Grace is rather daft. I repeatedly found myself thinking "is she really that stupid?" Glad I finally read it and it only took me a day.

message 19: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #17 The Awakening Course: The Secret to Solving All Problems

Nothing new or thought provoking if you're not new to the self help world.

message 20: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #18 I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer

Very well written and researched, but it kind of dragged on.

message 27: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #25 You Are the Guru

Underwhelming. Nothing new here. If you've read any of her other books, then you've already heard her mention all these things before. I also didn't care for her political commentary.

message 28: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #26 China Rich Girlfriend

Loved it! Better than book 1 IMO

message 31: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #29 Untamed

message 34: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #32 Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery

Excellent book. Well researched and written. Binge read and finished it in 2 days

Melissa | 95 comments #34 Crime Junkie podcast

I have listened to hundreds of hours of podcasts this year, so I am counting a couple as books. Normally I would have read a lot more on audible, but I have "read" less since listening to podcast instead

message 37: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #35 Dr. Death season 1

message 38: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #36 Dr. Death Season 2

message 39: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #37 Bad Batch

message 40: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 95 comments #38 Outwitting the Devil: The Secret to Freedom and Success

Phenomenal book. Even better than Think And Grow Rich in my opinion.

Melissa | 95 comments #43 Game of Queens: The Women Who Made Sixteenth-Century Europe

Last book of the year! Didn't make it to 50, but considering how 2020 went, I think 43 is pretty good lol. Will aim to hit 50 in 2021 :)

Indeed! What a weird year! 43 is still great! And you have at least two books you called "excellent" and at least one you said you loved, so it sounds like at least a few of your 43 were winners and time well spent!
