The tornado now

Everyday the same
thick wet blanket covers me.

To write and read and relax

It certainly does. I have only lived here ten months and I am so ready to get out. At least now we are in a house with central air, so the humidity gets regulated a little better. But, still, ick.

Scent of burning meat
enters my dreams. Roommate cooks
steak. Now I'm hungry.

Today was wedding
One niece, one child, one husband
She five foot, he seven.

Where do you live Abigail? I live in the Tampa Bay Area. I've lived here since 1983, so I can't say I'm not used to the heat and humidity, but I also can't say I like it.

Stephen--a two foot difference?? Wow! My ex was one foot taller than me and that seemed like a lot!

Hehehe, to do the cake feeding/smearing, she had to stand on the hearth of the fireplace. It was hysterical. She's pushy, duh, related to me ok?, and her husband is a calm, kindhearted, go with the flow kinda guy.

Ahh, I see. I used to live in Ohio which generally has quite a bit of humidity. Anywhere from nothing in the winter to about 60 percent on a bad day. Now I'm in Mississippi and 60 percent is a GOOD day. It's generally around 80 percent, which is disgusting. Even in the winter it's always above 30 percent. Cold and humid is a weird feeling...

Oh! Nose starts bleeding
I stuck a tissue in there.
Went north last winter.

How are ya, friend?

I'm very well, Heidi. Have trimmed my postage to spend as much time writing as possible. Received a grant from the Dutch Foundation for Literature to write my second novel and am halfway into the Dutch version, after which I'll get cracking on the English. Hope to have them both finished before the end of the year. Hence my absence on the threads.

But rest assured that I'll drop in occasionally for a cup of terminal coffee and a haicookie.
