As I wrote earlier, for March we will use Locus Recommended Reading List, which ought to be published on Feb 1st. From the experience of the previous two years, roughly half of novels that end-up as Hugo/Nebula nominees are from 'fantasy' and 'debut' categories. Because for most members it is hard to participate in more than two monthly reads and a desire of others to read a Nebula nominee (to be out on Feb 20th) before Hugo deadline, there are options for polls:

1. on Feb 1st 3 polls (SF, 'fantasy' and 'debut')
2. on Feb 1st 3 polls (SF, 'fantasy' and 'debut') + Nebula on Feb 20th
3. on Feb 1st 2 polls ('fantasy' and 'debut')
4. on Feb 1st 2 polls ('fantasy' and 'debut') + Nebula on Feb 20th
5. on Feb 1st 1 poll (choose category) + Nebula on Feb 20th
6...

Please notify which option fits you the best

Gabi | 433 comments I would go for the second option. This gives the greatest variety to choose from.

Would 3 polls = 3 monthly reads?

If so, I would say that, for me, the best would be #5. But that's because my reading capacity is more limited than for some of you, and I don't want to limit your monthly reads. So I would be fine with multiple polls, and so on, the main thing for me is that we include a Nebula nominee -- so definitely #2, #4, or #5.

Any of the ones with + Nebula on Feb 20th in them.

Besides I am randomly reading a lot of these anyway, I realized I was reading one of our Feb reads, so I stopped in the middle so we could read together

Is The Psychology of Time Travel on any of our lists? Because I am really liking it

Thanks for sending the message - I hadn't seen that the polls were up. I've voted now: A Memory Called Empire, Lent, and The City in the Middle of the Night
