***Semi-Spoiler***
I don't know, I thought they had a little bit of chemistry in this episode.
I felt so bad for Olivia in the beginning. I've never seen her so shaken up. But she's back!!!
Is anyone else sad about Charlie- I really liked him. I love the conversation he and Olivia have in the hospital room.
I did notice the Watcher was MIA.
By the way wouldn't I like a typewriter like the one in this episode. So retro, yet so futuristic. :)

Typewriter was indeed cool.
I saw the switcheroo coming. That is going to cause major intrigue and upset, hmn?
I kinda like the new chick. She's so a Mulder wannabe.
I was cracking up at Astrid making the custard. I sincerely hope they use her more this season! She's cute.
And when is Peter going to find out who he REALLY is!

Series two sounds great and I'll have my fingers crossed that we get that soon.

okay explain the switcheroo to me please : )
Is Charlie the bad guy or is the bad guy in his body.
I screamed when she flew out of the car. She did a great job with her scenese in the hospital, I felt her pain.
I just hope this time slot doesnt kill the show, Fox never leaves things alone. It will be on agianst Supernatural, Csi and Greys anatomy.
I liked it when it was house/fringe or bones/fringe better.

Well, we saw in the beginning that the baddie used his device to morph his body so he could look like someone else.
So, as the nurse, he jumped Charlie, used the device on him, and so the baddie now looks just like Charlie. The real one is dead.
Bye bye, good Charlie! Hello, alt-universe assassin with Charlie's face!

somehow I missed that, Isn't he married?

I miss the real Charlie. Maybe the alternate universe Charlie can come to "this" universe...so many possibilities.
I found Sam intriguing...it will be interest to see how that story develops!
Poor Astrid she get's all the dirty work...slimy frogs - yuck!
Last thought. I wonder why Olivia can hear things so well, and what purpose is serves.

There was this scene last season...but I don't know if I dreamt it because no one else seems to remember it! I thought I recalled multiple Peters in beds in a hospital-like setting. Does that ring a bell, or did I imagine it?
But from the fact that last season, we saw Peter's headstone and that Walter is always checking on Peter's health, I figure that our-universe Peter was a sickly child and died. And maybe that's precisely what prompted Walter to try inter-dimensional travel to begin with and he kidnapped alt-Peter.
My theory makes me wonder though if there's an alt-Walter out there seeking his Peter.
Charlie looked really worse-for-wear! I wonder if this shape-changing alt-agent HAS to change regularly? Or did something go wrong in the transformation?
I want Astrid to get her own episode. They need to use her more than for stirring and catching ribbits!

Can you tell I love Fringe?

One thing I don't get with this show is all of the ugly stuff. You don't need it if the main thrust of the show is alternate universes. And it made me stop watching for a while last year.

Oh, and for a hot minute I was speculating that either alt-Walter is evil, OR the ZFP war is BECAUSE our Walter stole alt-Peter.

I was cracking up at Walter eating a twizzler while conducting an autopsy. Hello? Ick!
I also don't see any chemestry there. Their relationship, if at all happens, will seem weird to me.
And yes, Walter can be very creepy at times and I kept staring at the twizzler hoping he wouldn't put it in his mouth, but guess he didn't hear my prayers. XD

Well, Oz claims that its all the fault of "The Hammer" and her avowed hatred of all things SciFi. Admit it guys--since she (Hammer) took over programming at SciFi, it HAS gone seriously downhill. I mean, what in the world does WRESTLING have to do with scifi? Well, unless the way those guys LOOK is supposed to have been achieved with alien help or something. :oS

In Fringe, we're dealing with an impending war so unsavory images are understandable. They want us to feel on edge, to unsettle us enough that we're concerned about the possibilities. Walter's original work was not rosy in theme and suffered many missteps, so that sets the tone.
Plus there's only so many times you can feature cute things like tribbles before it all gets too cutesy! I rely on Eureka for a friendly dose of science fiction. Sanctuary is another show that strikes a balance between the horrific and the benign. But in those shows, the focus is not particularly on the evil humankind can propagate through technological breakthroughs. In Fringe, it is.

There was one episode last year where I thought the "uglies" were totally appropriate for that particular program, but I'm not sure they were necessary for this week's program, or for most of the others.

Btw, isn't it kinda of strange that for the longest time Walter couldn't remember Astrid's name but now he can remember to call her Agent Farnsworth. How is that any easier to remember than Astrid. *sheesh*

I loved the scene where he tells Peter to be discreet about eating his cheeseburger.
But I'm completely confused about The Observers. From Walter's interaction with one last season, I thought they were just objective spectators, or perhaps there to maintain some sort of balance between our universe and the alt-verse. But now they are out to detroy us? Powder wants to eradicate us?!
Crazy!

One thing that wasn't realistic about the cane was Olivia using the cane to get up and down stairs instead of using the available railings and banisters. If you need a cane you might use both the cane and the banister, but not just the cane itself. So I wasn't too surprised when she suddenly did not need it.
Not totally sure what Sam actually is doing with or for Olivia although the cane thing is interesting.

Michelle I liked the scene with the cheeseburger as well, although, I found it completely unrealistic that he just dropped it on the table with all the evidence (shattered cop) oops there goes a piece that took hours to put together. Small things like that bug me!

or maybe all the shows this were WERE just OK. I've often noticed that they seem to schedule the programs like that. There will either be nothing on--or at least, nothing really interesting--or every single thing on is something that you just feel you have GOT TO WATCH!!!. lol, so why not that our fav programs schedule "ok" shows on the same weeks? After all, they shoot them all around the same time. Maybe this was just the weekly shoot where no one was feeling inspired?

I like Fringe but does it bug anyone else that it looks like Olivia (sp?) is always smiling? It bugs the crap out of me! Also I liked Charlie and am still a little ticked that his character was killed off.

Uhhh has anyone watched the new episodes? Like the last couple?

I need to talk to someone about the new episodes but I'm the only person I know who watches the show :-( Something is really bugging me
So are you watching it this season?
