Wanting Reviews For A Particular Book

Or you can check out the one for one thread:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Hope this helps :)

The one for one round simply requires that you choose a book and review it, then your own can be added to the list. It is not a round that can get full.
The alternative is to wait for new rounds to open, which they will next month.

Ryan, read the thread. E.M. has already answered this question.

Hi Jason! Some of our rounds are a bit more specific (you'll sometimes see a YA/Children's group, or an Out of this World group), but for the most part we have to keep the categories pretty broad. Even with very broad categories, it can be hard to find 10 people who don't have preexisting clashes.
If you would rather choose the books you are going to read, please visit our one-for-one list. You can select any book off the list, get a review copy from the author, and after you post your reviews, have your book added to the list.

That sounds like more my speed! Thanks for the tip!

Hi Sean! At this time all the reading rounds are currently full. We open new rounds every month or so, so check back every few days and look for a round that says "now forming" in the thread title.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
While you're waiting, I'd invite you to check out our one for one list. No waiting required. Simply choose a book that appeals to you from the list in the first post, contact the author for a review copy, or read it through KU if available, and post your review to GR/Amz. Once you post your review links in the thread, you can post the link to your book and have it added to the list.

I am interested in joining a group for my two books (both are of the genre contemporary) -
1. Short story collection (http://mybook.to/Unspoken) Unspoken: A Bouquet of Short Stories
2. Poetry collection. (http://mybook.to/FirefliesNLove) Of Fireflies and Love!
If someone can kindly help me with the correct link to enroll in, that will be great!
Thanks a lot!

Wondering if there’s a group for poetry. Would love to sign up for one"
Hi Sadhana!
I don't believe we've ever had a poetry specific group, though many of our authors DO write poetry collections. They often join the general round or the novella round. Poetry could also go in the 18+ or the "clean" round so long as it's clean poetry. 😊 (Anything can go in the 18+ round. It doesn't have to be 18+ content.)

Jyothsna, may I suggest you consider one of our reading rounds? We have a "clean" reading round that is currently looking for more participants.
You can read the rules and requirements for joining in the first post of the thread.

Welcome! A few housekeeping things. You should please claim your author page (right now you are posting from a regular Goodreads member profile.)
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
If this is your correct author profile, go to the bottom of the page where it says "is this you?" and follow the instructions.
Next, you need to set your settings so that you can receive messages from other people. The default setting is "friends only" but you should please set it to "anyone."
https://www.goodreads.com/user/edit?t...
We open new reading rounds approximately every 4 weeks. Right now we only have one round open, a "clean" round but reading the reviews of your book it sounds like it may have some graphic content that might not be appropriate for that particular round. You will have to read the requirements and determine for yourself. If that round isn't an option, we will have more starting up in the next few weeks. Look for a round in this folder that says "now forming" in the title.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...
In the meantime, you can read something off the one for one list. After you post your reviews to Goodreads and Amz and post the links in the one for one thread, your book will be added to the list for someone else to choose. You can contact the authors with books in the first post of the list directly for a review copy, or if you happen to have Kindle Unlimited, many of the books are enrolled in that and you can just read that way.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Right now, there are *not* currently any open groups (that's why you don't see any that say "now forming" in the title.) However I anticipate there should some new ones opening up in the next few days. So check back and when you see the new groups form, you can read the rules for sign up, then add your book.
In the meantime, please go to your profile settings and set them to allow "anyone" to send you private messages, rather than just friends, as this is a requirement for joining reading rounds.
Hope this helps!

LB, we don't currently have any open reading rounds, however we should have some starting soon.

Look for threads that say "now forming" in the title, then read the information in the first post of the thread to see if it's something you're interested in.
We also have the one for one thread. You can participate right now, no need to wait. Choose any book that appeals to you from the list, read and review on Goodreads and Amazon, then post the links to your review in the thread. Then after you post your links, your book will be added to the list for someone else to choose and review. Lots of the books are in KU, and you can also contact the authors through the Goodreads private messaging system to ask for a review copy.

We have several review rounds open, and also our one for one list!

My name is Mowafak Saqr, and I’m an independent author passionate about epic fantasy. I'm excited to be part of this review round and would love to have feedback on my novel:
Title: When the Sun Rises – Legacy of the Ancient World
Genre: Epic Fantasy
Language: English
Available at: https://books2read.com/u/m008o7
Goodreads Link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Thank you in advance for your time and honest thoughts—I’ll be reviewing your books with equal care and respect!
Warm regards,
Mowafak

I’m Nico Featherwick, an indie author of three emotionally driven books: Chronoshard: Echoes of the Rift (fantasy), When We Were Almost (romance), and Normal Enough (reflective fiction on identity). I’m really excited to be part of this group and looking forward to connecting with other writers and readers.
For this round, I’d love to have When We Were Almost reviewed. It’s a heartfelt story about love, timing, and the quiet ache of letting go. I’m happy to read and review other books in return, and I’ll make sure to leave thoughtful, constructive feedback.
Thanks so much, and I’m looking forward to reading your work too!

You can call me J (short for Jeff—but everyone just calls me J, like I’m one of the Men in Black). I’m an author who writes both fiction and narrative nonfiction, often exploring themes like endurance, grace, and spiritual struggle.
I’m currently looking for Advanced Readers who’d be willing to read and leave an honest review. If either book resonates with you, I’d love to send you a free ARC (PDF, ePub, or mobi available):
The Darkened Light of Joshua Clay: A Story of Grace and Redemption
(Release Date: 09/16/2025)
The first book in The Scrollbearer Saga, The Darkened Light of Joshua Clay is a narrative-driven reinterpretation of purgatory—an allegorical descent into a mist-drenched world where memory, guilt, and broken faith shape reality itself.
Blending dark fantasy with psychological speculative fiction, the novel follows Joshua Clay, a fallen bearer of the Light, as he navigates a purgatorial swamp haunted by whispers and warped reflections of his past. As theological metaphor gives way to personal reckoning, Joshua—and the readers—must confront the cost of fractured faith and the enduring weight of unresolved love.
Rather than proposing doctrinal answers, the story invites reflection. It is not a theological treatise, but a meditation on belief, regret, and the fragile, painful hope of restoration.
This is a book for readers who value allegory over instruction, ambiguity over certainty, and storytelling that treats the soul’s inner journey as its own battlefield.

The Book of John: A Gospel of Endurance
(Release Date: TBD)
A Gospel of Endurance is a haunting, heartfelt memoir that weaves the true story of a Vietnam veteran’s life with the spiritual arc of the Gospel of John. Told by his son decades later, this story isn’t about battlefield glory or cinematic faith. It’s about the long, slow miracle of staying.
Through war, silence, illness, and the quiet ache of family life, John’s story unfolds in fragments: wrenching childhood memories, whispered prayers, and one night where everything nearly ended—until grace interrupted.
With poetic honesty and sacred restraint, the book explores the kind of miracles that don’t always heal, but endure. The kind that don’t erase the darkness—but light a way through it.
Note: This memoir includes some strong language—not for shock, but for honesty. The profanity is used intentionally to reflect the raw edges of real life and the ways people wrestle with pain, anger, and God. It's ultimately a story of how grace holds us—even when we’re at our most human.
If you’ve ever asked where God is in the middle of pain… this book is for you.

That One Night in Buenos Aires: One Night. One Touch That Changes Everything.
After a soul-draining breakup and five years of painting like she’s forgotten how to feel, Poppy Blake flees Florida for the one place that’s always called to her—Buenos Aires. She doesn’t expect the colors of the city to confront her so boldly. And she definitely doesn’t expect him.
Lucio Torres is as bold as the murals he sketches on skin and canvas—tattooed, blunt, and with an uncanny ability to see what Poppy is trying to hide. Their first encounter is charged, frustrating, and unforgettable. And when Poppy shows up to his underground painting class, she’s sure it’s a mistake… until he touches her hand and everything starts to change.
What begins as creative tension becomes something magnetic. In a city built on rhythm, passion, and raw expression, their connection deepens—with every lesson, every glance, every impossible kiss.
But ghosts from Poppy’s past don’t loosen their grip easily, and Lucio has demons of his own. As the nights grow hotter and their bond intensifies, Poppy must decide if she’s willing to let go of control long enough to find freedom—not just in her art, but in her heart.
That One Night in Buenos Aires is a romantic thriller for fans of steamy, character-driven stories, enemies-to-lovers tension, and a touch of artistic soul-searching. Perfect for readers who love stories about falling hard in unfamiliar cities, rediscovering passion, and taking one risky leap into the unknown.

For those who only have one book running wild in the world, it's pretty straightforward. People can review that or nothing. If someone has reviewed you before they can either go in your 'blind spot' for that round or one of the two of you (whoever signed up last) has to leave the round.
But if you have a series or a selection of standalones it's a bit different. You can stay in the round with those who have read you before and they can review a different book.
When you sign up to a round you need to be aware that this might happen. We have a lot of people who re-sign having tried a round and that, inevitably, means you will encounter those you have reviewed before and been reviewed by before.
One way to reduce this is to branch out into other groups your book could fit in. If you always go for the General round, maybe try the 18+. If you have been hanging in Out of this World for a while, switch out to General or 18+.
However, it is going to happen that you will be re-reviewed if you sign up for the rounds as a regular thing and have more than one book under your belt. Whilst every effort is taken to give everyone the most reviews possible of their chosen book, it can't be guaranteed. You can take it as a given that I'm trying to avoid your book being re-reviewed whilst balancing that against the need to include everyone who wants to take part in a round. There is no need to ask.
I do my best to wreak good works, but miracles are beyond me!
