Ooh so exciting! I am glad they will make 2 movies.
I got the It movie on dvd many years ago. I remember it was awesome but when it finished I felt ripped off. It's like a scene wasn't concluded, let alone the movie. I always wondered if it was a problem with the dvd but it didn't look like it...

Ana my husband and I felt the exact same way about The Stand Miniseries. It was divided onto 2 Dvd's and when we started the 2nd disc we thought we missed a scene or something was cut out because it seemed like a chunk of the plot had advanced forward all of a sudden and we couldn't find the scene we missed on the previous disc, it was confusing, ha ha!
But I did actually enjoy both the Stand adaptation as well as the old IT movie adaptation which we watched with our son. He's 8 and the IT movie was his "introduction" to Stephen King. So as a family we'll probably all watch the new one together! I'm excited too!

Kandice I was just thinking about The Dark Tower being adapted earlier today. I haven't read much on this topic though I bet it has been discussed a lot on other forums but, I can almost picture it done well by a premium channel network like HBO with a good budget to give it the kind of treatment that GAME OF THRONES books got. Hopefully someday it will be done by someone and done right, with Stephen's blessing of course.

BTW I have cast and re-cast the dark Tower series so many times in my head as the years have passed and actors have become too old to play parts.
My absolute dream is for Peter Jackson to do Dune. My friends all know that, but I can't remember if I've said it here.
Also, Darabont needs to get on making The Long Walk. He got the rights from King like a decade ago. Come on already!
Oh my gosh, wasn't your kid super afraid? I was pretty traumatized after watching Alien and Gremlins as a kid.
I've never watched The Stand.
I've never watched The Stand.

The other sequels are lame.

Exactly!
