Poignant. Interesting how the memories start coming now all this time later, when Edward would still rather retreat and forget. I suppose this is a little like how childhood is in general - a flurry of passing time without analyzing or understanding.

I am still loving this book. I suppose these memories are just like any other traumatic memories - they hide until they leak out or surface.

I do wonder if Edward is on any medication. As the parent of a teen who has PTSD and anxiety/depression who is on medication, it makes me wonder. He could certainly benefit from it... but at least he's seeing a therapist.
