Brenda Salazar Hi all,

I'm love reading and I'm currently available for reviews. You can comment on this if you would me to review your book.

My favorite types of books are all things romance, sci-fi, and dystopias. However, I will gladly read other fiction genres.

I prefer a hard-copy format but willing to do e-pub as well.

Feel free to leave a comment. I will send a message to you privately with me email if I want to read your book.

Charisse Moritz | 115 comments Hello Brenda! How generous of you to offer your time for reviews. I'm hoping to interest you in a mature YA romance, Shakespeare Burning. I am happy to provide a Mobi, Epub, PDF, kindle or paperback copy. Please feel free to email me at ugarps@yahoo.com.
Cheers! Charisse
Here's a brief blurb:

He’s the boy who wants to disappear.

One mistake & seventeen-year-old Shake LeCasse lost everything. Now there’s no going back and no way to move forward. The once-popular hockey captain is living in the basement of a grandmother he barely knows, ditching school, avoiding friends & working hard on self-destruction.

She’s the girl nobody sees.

Cleo Lee survives however she can. Lie, cheat, steal, & saving Mr. Popular isn’t part of the plan. Telling him the truth about the night that destroyed his life is downright dangerous. She needs to keep quiet, be smart and let the guy she’s been half in love with since middle school throw away a future she’d do anything to have. Too bad her heat can’t resist, no matter the cost.

Andrew Mioni | 5 comments Hi Brenda! Thanks so much for your kind offer. I have a collection of short stories you may be interested in. There are 6 stories, 4 of which are scifi/dystopian, 1 superhero(ish), and 1 fantasy(ish). The collection is only 73 pages, so they could probably be read in an hour or so. Here is the Amazon blurb:

A cloned child questions his origins with a prejudiced stranger. A scavenger reminisces in a scorched wasteland on what exactly scorched the wasteland. A poster child for a meat-free society smells a steak and asks a few too many questions. A certain sheriff triumphs (temporarily) over a certain outlaw archer. A college kid can fly but is scared of heights. In a followup to the opening story, clone soldiers banter about the meaning of life.

If this is something you'd be interested in, let me know! I'd be happy to send you a paperback.

message 5: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Newwyn | 11 comments If you're interested, I'm a new author who just published my first book. My book is a contemporary romance novelette (200 words away from being a novella, so about ~16800 words), so it's a very short and hopefully satisfying read. If you end up liking it and want to leave a review, it will certainly make my day!

Here's the book: The Colour of Your Voice

This is the synopsis:

"Violet Pham can see the colour of sounds. Ever since she knew it, everything she heard carried a shade. She spent hours pouring her pencil sketches on paper, glaring at the milky white rays in the air dangling around, wrapping the mossy green blobs emanating from her mother's voice.

She was born to become a painter. But her faith keeps getting tested by her classmates and mother. "You can't do anything right," they tell her. She begins to question herself. Once she does, there is only one solution: run away from everything.

That is when she meets Turner Nguyen.

Turner is everything Violet wishes she is: an iron will and a flint heart. There is only one thing wrong about him — he's a gangster, the scummy type. He barges into gang wars. He beats people up for money. He smuggles drugs.

Soon, they learn that a romance of two castaways is a recipe for disaster. Slowly, their lives take turns for the worse."

I understand that you might be busy, and I totally understand if you think that my book won't be a good fit. But if you're interested, please let me know!

Best wishes,

Daniel

Maria (mariaanngreen) | 5 comments Hi Brenda!

I have a contemporary romance that I'm looking for reviews for! I can send epub, mobi, and pdf! If you want a print copy I can send a proof copy. Feel free to message me.

I'll include the description and link below.

I Would Never...But If I Did:
Taryn Sams doesn’t believe in love. Period. Every time she’s gotten close, her happiness has been ripped from her, proving once again the only thing worth believing in is the inevitability of her own - and others - screw ups.

For Austin Wright, Taryn is the one who got away. But really, if he’s honest with himself, he pushed her away, with one hard shove. He did the one thing he told her he never would do, and shattered both of their hearts. But it’s been years since then, and somehow Austin and Taryn found a way to be friends, albeit dysfunctional ones.

Theo Evans is the other man in Taryn’s life. He’s also Austin’s best friend. But, to be fair, he’s been in love with Taryn longer. He accepts Taryn as she is, broken, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to be the one she chooses in the end.

Taryn isn’t the only one with someone else in her life. Austin has a girlfriend he’s trying to see a future with even though she can’t live up to those that came before. Yet they keep coming back together like magnets, unable to resist the pull to each other. Taryn continues her relationship with Theo while starting up again with Austin, willing to give him one more shot though not willing to let go of Theo just yet. While juggling the two men, she’s hoping that her once-bitter heart will eventually open up and tell her who to choose, hoping that she isn’t deluding herself yet again about what’s real and what’s possible.

Can love win Taryn over, or will she screw up her own life yet again, and the lives of at least three others in the process?

Zella Blanche | 4 comments Hi Brenda,

Thanks so much for offering your review services! I'm looking for reviewers for my psychological thriller book, Glass Domes. It follows a pandemic, told through the point of view of the scientist who created the disease. It's about 70,000 words long.

"I was a good child. I was a good student. I was a good scientist. No, I was a great scientist. I never meant to kill anyone. All I ever wanted to know if brains could be made bigger.

And now it’s too late. It’s out there, somewhere, somehow, killing too many, killing too few. I don’t know if I should be proud or guilty. I don’t know if I want to help. I mean, I should help, right? Destroy my legacy before it destroys my world?"

Cheers,
Zella

Maya Zebley | 7 comments Hi Brenda,

Thank you for your offer, if possible, I would love for you to review my book Criminal Composition:

Criminal Composition by Maya Zebley

The FBI recruits a music therapist as an undercover agent to investigate a brutal murder case. . .

Dafna Armstrong is a 30-year-old, single music therapist who is dedicated to providing music therapy sessions to her hospice patients. On a whim, she attends an FBI recruiting session led by Agent Cobain. In a surprising move, Dafna joins the investigation team just to get closer to Agent Cobain, even though she remains in doubt about her skills as an undercover FBI agent.

AJ is their suspect. He is a famous rock star who became a criminal suspect when his past love interest disappeared. Although the FBI questioned him, no clear evidence was found connecting him to his lover’s disappearance. As soon as AJ was no longer considered a suspect, he fled to the Philippines, but years later he comes back to the USA to receive aggressive treatment for his recent cancer diagnosis. Upon his return, Agent Cobain sees an opportunity to re-open the case. To allow for a thorough investigation and aiming for a confession, the FBI manipulates AJ’s medical files. He is told that he has less than six months to live and is admitted to hospice care where he meets Dafna, the music therapist.

Now, who will be the first one to discover the loophole in the criminal case?

The book is currently for sale at Amazon https://amzn.to/2xo5GPi
and Goodreads https://bit.ly/3cyFiR9 in both paperback and eBook formats.

If you are interested in reading it, I will happily send you a copy. Let me know. Thanks again. Maya.

Beatrice DeSoprontu | 9 comments Hi Brenda,

Regarding your kind offer, I have a novel VICES/VIRTUES that has been well-reviewed by both KIRKUS and IndieReader.
https://www.amazon.com/Vices-Virtues-... Here is the description:

On the surface, VICES/VIRTUES it is about Cristela Davila, a bright young woman who works at a real estate office by day and moonlights at a professional S/M dungeon at night. However, the intertwining stories explore a wide range of topics. American poverty is placed at the forefront as Cristela, inheriting her mother's welfare shame, goes to great lengths to hide her own status as a welfare recipient from her college friends. Race is relative, as Justine, the daughter of a Kenyan heiress and Italian nobleman, is deemed as "white" by her Kenyan side of the family. Agency is shown as Daisy, a daughter of the Florida backwoods, devices a clever way to free herself from abuse. Exploring the interacting lives of this diverse group of women via a series of vignettes, VICES/VIRTUES highlights how very universal the seemingly unconventional can be.

Hope you're interested!
Beatrice

Alexandra McLaughlin | 4 comments Hi Brenda,

My name is Alexandra McLaughlin and I recently published a novel called Aboard. I wanted to write something that spoke to the issues young women face as they manage real life and social media, but in a humorous way! This book is a new adult (main character just graduated university) romantic comedy.

Here is the back-cover blurb:

Elizabeth felt she was losing the social media game. While her friends were hiking mountains in Peru and petting exotic baby animals, she was going to her normal 9-5 and living in her normal apartment. Her Instagram posts just couldn't compete! Why did it seem like everyone's lives were so much better than hers?

One night she hit a breaking point, and after extensive vlogging research, she realized what she needed to do. Travel the Mediterranean in a gorgeous sail boat with, preferably, a hot man. True, she had never stepped foot on a boat of any size. But that was not going to deter her from getting the picture-perfect Facebook cover photo while relaxing in Sardinia.

Unfortunately, Elizabeth soon learns that what appears online does not necessarily translate into real life. She is thrown into a world of stormy seas, difficult relationships and eye-opening realizations about how she's been living her life.

I have an EPUB copy of the book available to send you.

Let me know if you are interested in reviewing this!

Then Peter Blackwell, the only wizard her town has ever produced, unexpectedly returns home and presses her into service as his assistant.

Beatrix fears he wants to undermine the League. His real purpose is far more dangerous for them both.

Zita Harrison (httpswwwzitaharrisoncom) | 9 comments Hi, Brenda, it looks like you might be completely swamped, but if you have time and are interested, I would love to have my Gothic Suspense novel, Owl Manor - Abigail, reviewed. Amazon description below.

14 years ago, Owl Manor trembled with echoes of madness, mysterious deaths and marauding owls.

In 1870, Abigail fled the horror of Owl Manor with her fiancé, Peter. But she carried with her the terrible notion that she is unworthy of love, instilled by her reluctant mother. If her own mother could not love her, how would anyone else?

She trusts no one and keeps herself buried in a crypt of churning emotions, away from the world. Deep inside, her soul screams at the thought of dying alone and unloved.

Now she is back. Abandoned at the altar, and with nowhere to go, she returns to Owl Manor. Thus begin the nightmares of violent rage and destruction, ghostly images.

What really happened 14 years ago?

Enter Victor, the complete opposite of Peter, yet frighteningly familiar at times.

And the owls circle the sky once again.

Inspired by authors such as Edgar Allan Poe (The Raven), Daphne du Maurier (Jamaica Inn), Carlos Ruiz Zafon (Shadow of the Wind), Owl Manor - Abigail is the second in the Owl Manor trilogy of Gothic suspense novels, and follows Owl Manor - the Dawning.

If you're interested, you can reach me at z@zitaharrison.com. Thanks.

N.C. Ferrao | 14 comments Hey Brenda,

I am looking for reviews on my recently published book, THE CABIN.
It’s a psychological thriller.
Here is the book blurb:

>
She tried hard, to stand still, to control her trembling, to squeeze her thumping heart. Holding onto the razor-sharp scalpel that suddenly felt heavy.

Murder? No, that was not a part of the plan.
When Ohio based Aria decided to join her friends on their camping trip in a secluded location, deep in the forests of Dandeli; she was looking forward for that last dashing weekend before heading for college.

But then, two strangers join. When Anya introduces her mysterious boyfriend, Kai and his cheerful, and yet over-friendly best friend Rylan; Aria feels something is off.

Initially, everything seems fun, but when Rylan suggests they spend the weekend at his Cabin, Aria couldn’t shake off the feeling that they can’t come back from what they are going into.

THE WEEKEND NEVER ENDED!

As secrets are uncovered, a sinister plan unfolds. And deaths follow.

Mishana Khot (mishana_khot) | 4 comments Hello,
I've just released my third book, Welcome to the Zoo on the Kindle platform and am looking for reviewers in the categories of YA/General fiction.

This is a 160 page book about 4 scrappy kids romping through a series of adventures and mishaps, accompanied by a pint-sized mob of friends and pets. They devise sinister plots to kidnap the Tooth Fairy, dress up as Egyptian Mummies and leap out at unsuspecting strangers on dark nights, smuggle puppies into the house, drive their starchy governess to tears, and pummel each other in horrible wrestling matches. And that’s just the first few chapters.

Set in small-town India of the early 90s, these stories will take you back to the simpler time of childhood. . I wrote this during the COVID lockdown when I wanted a light, funny, happy read that would take my mind off the chaos around us.

I’m looking for reviews on Amazon and Goodreads and would be happy to send you an EPUB or PDF copy if you think you would be interested in reading and reviewing this.

Here’s some background reading about me:
Amazon Author profile: https://amzn.to/2TLsFeI
Goodreads Author profile: https://bit.ly/3mWtDBp

Feel free to DM me if you like. I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks
Mishana

Natasha Mills | 11 comments I'm new to good reads. I'm a children's author of Mr. Broccoli a book on nutrition for children with fun imaginative superhero veggie characters.
I would like to seek reviews for my book "Mr. Broccoli, from a series of up and coming books of Veggie Adventures.

Mr. Broccoli is the tale of a young boy, Jacob, who is feeling sad and fed up. Through discovering the health benefits of eating his greens, he becomes stronger and more confident. Anti-bullying is also an important theme in the story, to help children learn to respect others and feel more confident in themselves. Mr Broccoli is a character who already has that confidence, and later becomes a role model figure.

The book is available on Amazon Kindle:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Broccoli-Veg...

If anyone is interested to read and share their review on Goodreads and Amazon, I can send the PDF copy directly.
