Region of Waterloo Library discussion

Thank you everyone for joining us for the first year of our online book club! We want to make it bigger and better in 2015.

Give us your feedback. How would you like to book clubs to continue next year? Are there specific books you'd like to talk about? Would you rather just discuss what you are currently reading, than setting a specific title or titles? Let us know! I like the idea of selecting a book and then we can discuss it. maybe every other month we can have the choice of two or three books, read the one(s) we want and then post our thoughts. I don't have any suggestions at the moment, but I would like to read some books by Spanish authors next year.

I'd like to read specific books as well to discuss but I need more than a month's notice. Maybe we can choose a specific book every other month as Heather said and then topics or themes in between. I'd like to read more classics next year.

Thanks for the suggestions! That sounds like a good plan to me. I'll put up a suggested schedule and see what everyone thinks.

You asked if there are any specific Spanish authors I am planning to read. I found them by online searches and liked the reviews I had seen of their works. Carlos Ruiz Zafon and Ildefanso Falcones. One I requested from the library and the other I have ordered.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll look at the possibility of adding one to our reading list later in the year.
