O Cherno (ocherno) | 3 comments Hello

I have engineering background with heavy tilt toward math. I am looking for recommendation on Math/Science history books. Here are couple that I enjoyed:

* Against the Gods: The Remarkable Story of Risk
* Fermat's Enigma: The Epic Quest to Solve the World's Greatest Mathematical Problem

Thanks

Oleg

Vesso Vitanov | 3 comments History .... hmm not quite sure if those counts bit you might check:
Science & Human Values, it is quite short but really great.

or/and Cryptonomicon. This one is crossing many topics of math in the beginning of the century. There is Turing and some crypto/mathematical concepts, however the book is written for majority of people, so nothing too fancy.

Vesso Vitanov | 3 comments Now when Tibike mention it, I got on more in mind. Diversity and Complexity Can easily be what you are actually looking for. Very geeky.
