In my personal approach as a nonfiction writer, I take very seriously to emotionally connect with my community of followers. I think that connection, to know the likes and dislikes of your people (your possible readers) is really important. How do you guys see this...??

What makes us human creatures is that empathy and deep connection, call it spiritual or emotional or whatever you like; but, to be honest, I like to know that I am standing out from the crowd of writers and authors out there. Maybe to know that I can bring something unique in my persona through my writing.

Share your experience. Is this important for you...?? I know that we share different views and different experiences. And I believe is crucial to expand your mind to know other people's opinions on this subject. We are all students of the craft, right...??

Jessalyn Joy | 3 comments I'm currently reading A Season of Daring Greatly by Ellen Emerson White . It's about a girl who joins the world of professional baseball and has pressure all around her by people who like that she is in it and people that don't like that she is in it. I feel the emotions as she shakes peoples hands who congratulate her. I feel the emotion when people yell and call her names for just being herself.

Longoria Wolfe Yes. I want to know if what I offer has a place. There are many kinds of audiences seeking many kinds of voices.

This-"What makes us human creatures is that empathy and deep connection..."

Is a very big part of what I've written. It's readers like Leslie and Jessalyn, looking for that experience, I hope to have discover my work. I have written something about the connections between humans, living and dead, mysterious spiritual laws and how a nonspiritual society can dominate and destroy its place in the universe. The only way I can see if that is relevant for readers is to place it in front of readers and see what comes back. I'm all in for all kinds of entertainment which is why my writing reflects adventure, danger, action, hope. There are a lot of book covers flowing through my goodreads stream with dudes with ripped bods. Those readers are looking for connections too and I wonder could a reader like that also find something in my subject matter. I follow readers with these interests as well as many others to keep it real and see what people are interested in. That goes along with Cat Ninja Books, Vampire Books and many more. And I wonder, is there even a place for what I'm bringing sometimes. Right now I see people are far more interested in picking up an erotic or nonerotic romance than a book that looks at spirit and the conflict around it. Not to say those books don't exclusively ignore my subject matter. We shall see.

Thank you very much for your comment. I do believe that any book has the responsibility to connect at some level with people. We are all going through something, right...??

That seems like a very emotional book, and more moving than anything else. I love those books that bring the average human experience to you, so you may expand your mind like that. Something that could happen to anybody, you know. Something we all go through. Pressure.

I think there are readers for everything out there. And what you have written has a depth that most books in your category may not offer. I think persistence and confidence in your work is key.

Sometimes readers need time and to be told what your book could give them. If a book has the capacity to expand the mind of the reader and at some level connect to something deep inside that reader, then it is something worth and special. It is an enlightening point of view. Let's help readers see it!
