I loved that book! Read it in two sittings (one before work and one after).

I read Made from Scratch: Discovering the Pleasures of a Handmade Life. It was recommended by my friend and her sister, so it was a double recommendation :) It was lovely. Jenna Woginrich writes about homesteading and taking steps towards living a more sustainable lifestyle. She writes with so much heart, and with my own dreams to start a farm, it was a very inspiring read for me.

I only read it because it's my husband's favorite and he had been telling me to read it for years. Now I can say I read it. (In the past he steered me to Lonesome Dove which I LOVED so I was trusting him...LOL.)

I'm thankful my father would've never have recommended that to me. Every book my dad ever recommended were science fiction and I loved them all.

The friend that recommended that to me LOVES that book. It's definitely one of her all time favorites.

funny :-)

I read quite a few books this year that were recommended to me by friends, but the urgency of this recommendation convinced me to count A Wonderlandiful World for this challenge.
