I remember loving it when I read it but I don't really remember the details. We were reading Charmed Life as a post-Harry Potter pick but neither of us were really into it.

Still reading on Kindle: The Patron Saint of Liars, a contender for top five of the year.

That was my first Ann Patchett and one of my favorites. I also liked The Testaments but I agree it didn't have the same impact as The Handmaid's Tale.

Alas I haven't had a chance to read a whole book in weeks, only news and twitter feed articles. I hope to finish reading Kate Chopin's novel "The Awakening" for my book club discussion this Friday though. Wish me luck!

I remember that one from high school - it really was an "awakening"! Hope you have a good discussion!

I'm slowly working my way through Saint X by Alexis Schaitkin, listening to Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets, & Advice for Living Your Best Life by Ali Wong and just started reading Holes by Louis Sachar with my almost 10-year-old. My 6-year-old and I are enjoying Jenny and the Cat Club: A Collection of Favorite Stories about Jenny Linsky by Esther Averill. The illustrations in this are so charming!
I'd love to hear what's been keeping you up at night (or not) this week!
