Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who's had a bad year. She was smart and on track, but then her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating - barely - and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.

Then she saves the life of Caleb and instantly knows there's something about him that's intriguing. But things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally.

They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she's ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive.

Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb's enemies know he's imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him.

Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

Is it just me, or does this book seem really long?

Seems really long. Feels like i've been reading it for days.

I'm at 40% and it seems like I've read about 400 pages already!

I felt exactly like that!

It ends a bit earlier at 92%.

It really irritates me that society frown on teenage marriage, I'd have done it without the slightest worry if it wasn't for my parents and everyone else being against it. (hide spoiler)]

It's very twilight-esque.

So long... In my digital edition the lines have like negative space in between them. It's taking forever

I read 40% of it yesterday I think, and then it took me pretty much all day today to read the other 53%, it must be much longer than it says it is for it to take me that long to get through it.

I think these characters, and maybe this whole book, is a bit of a love it or hate it sort of thing. I can imagine that if I hadn't liked them, they would have driven me nuts. They don't always make sensible decisions. I finished.. Boy am I glad that is over. I just could not get into it! Definitely won't be reading the next one in this series

I've been having to stop myself from starting the next one ha ha! I think it really is one of those books where you either love it or hate it. It reminded me a bit of which I really didn't like.

I want to join in, but I'm ready a book at the moment, and I don't know when I will ever finish it. I think it would be fun to read as a group. I did get the book, so I may just read it when I'm finished with this one I'm reading now :)

We'll discuss it with you when you get to it, I quite liked it ☺
