One Point Tasks

1.1 AT WONDERLAND
Read a book whose Author's LAST name initial is in the name ALICE.

BONUS POINT:
Read a book whose Author's FIRST name initial is in the name ALICE ( MUST be read after originial task is done).

1.2 NATIONAL PET WEEK
Read a book about the life of a pet -OR- a book with an animal thats a pet on the cover (show cover).

1.3 CINCO DE MAYO
Complete one of the following tasks:
a. RED
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) RED cover (show cover).
b. WHITE
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) WHITE cover (show cover).
c. GREEN
Read a book with a predominately (50%+) GREEN cover (show cover).

1.4 MAY: 5TH MONTH OF THE YEAR
Choose one of the following tasks:
BONUS POINT: If you choose a second task.

a. Read a book published in MAY (any year).

b. Read a book with a 5 in its page count (e.g. 252, 345, 512, etc.....).

c. Read a published in a year with a 5 (e.g. 2005, 1955, 2015, etc....) State year.

1.5 THE POWER OF ONE WORD
MAY's word is STAR(s).

Read a book with the Star(s) in the title -OR- a book with the word in the text. List page# & give sentence word's in.

1.6 READING THROUGH THE ALPHABET
Our Last Letter - Letter Z

Read a book with the Letter Z anywhere in the title (no sub-titles).
e.g. Love From A to Z, The Eye of Zeus

1.7 (Linda C task) MOTHER'S DAY
In honor of Mothers, read a book where the MC is a mother. Tell us how many children she has.

2.1 SURPRISE ME

2.2 SPLISH SPLASH
Read 2 books

1. Read a book with something in the water on the cover (show cover).
e.g.
2. Read a book with a word in the title that describes a body of water, such as: ocean, lake, river, pool, etc.....
e.g. The Girl Beneath the Sea On Ocean Boulevard

2.3 (Diana S task) EMOTIONS
Read 2 books

Is it morning ... is it Monday .... or July ... is it still 2020 ... did Amazon deliver the 50 packs of snickers yet ... where are my friends ... is it bedtime ... the snacks are gone ... I need more chocolate ...is my state open or closed ... where am I ???

Well, I hope our emotions haven't come to this.
:D Let's express ourselves by reading 2 books that describe an emotion in the title (must be a different emotion for each book).
e.g. The Hating Game, (Im)perfectly Happy, The Secrets of Love Story Bridge, Mad, Bad & Dangerous to Know

2.4 (Linda C task) LILAC FESTIVAL
Read 2 books
Highland Park in Rochester, NY is home to the annual Lilac Festival covering 10 days starting Mother's Day weekend (except this year). There are over 1200 lilac shrubs representing over 500 varieties. Its quite a spectacular show.

1. Lilacs range in color from white to shades of pinks, and purples.
Read a book that has a WHITE, PINK, or PURPLE cover -OR- with a flower/flowering tree on the cover.
EXTRA POINT if it is a lilac (show cover).

2. The park was established in 1888 as one of the nation's first municipal arboretums.
Read a book set in the late 19th century -OR- that has all 5 letters in LILAC in the title ( may use all the title words including A and An).

Three Point Task
3.1 (Diana S task) CELEBRATING MOTHERS
Read 3 books

From the list below pick someone who's a Mother that you wish to celebrate!

♡ Favorite Aunt, ♡ Beloved Sister ♡ Close Cousin, ♡ Your BFF
Tell us who you pick and how many children she had. Then pick 3 books that pertain to her and explain why you chose them.

....example - My grandmother Belen. She had 3 children ( My father was her youngest).

The flowers on the cover remind me of the flowers she had in your garden. She loved her flower garden.
