mjraves (bookscoffeeandimalesbian) | 14 comments I’d be interested to know what you guys think of this cast of characters! Would you be a Renegade or an Anarchist, if you lived in this world?

Ruxi (The Lightning Reader) What i loved about this series was that it showed that both Renegades and Anarchists aren't that different, its just what you chose to believe in and stand for. There were times where I was frustrated with the renegades, but ultimately I think I would be a renegade :)

Orodette | 2 comments Honestly, I'd rather not be either of them. Though I started off as an Anarchist fan, I progressively started to like the Renegades more. Only because the Anarchists started taking it too far and also, I really love Callum. I'm always gonna be on his side :3

mjraves (bookscoffeeandimalesbian) | 14 comments Hey guys, wanted to mention really quickly that I changed my username. Formerly ~ izzy lightwood (lesbianloverofbooks) ~ I am now billie_eyelash as you can see. So I will still be leading the discussion for Supernova, but I won’t be using the goodreads name many of you probably know me as

mjraves (bookscoffeeandimalesbian) | 14 comments I really liked the way that Supernova portrayed there isn’t just good and bad, there’s morally grey also, which I think is important because good vs. evil is kind of a cliched trope. Marissa Meyer did an excellent job, in my opinion, of writing her morally grey characters

Krystal (krystallee6363) I read this at the start of the year and loved it. I really love that Nova stays true to her goals and is always a rebel. I think it's why I tend to favour the Anarchists.

My full review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Danielle I read the series a few months ago and loved Supernova. I thought the series as a whole was so well written and both sides were well represented. When I started the series, I was for the Renegades but as things got more and more complex, I found myself torn between the two. This is by far the best book series I’ve read in a long time ❤️

kal (kalinda25) | 4 comments I read the series last week so I could participate in this discussion. I am in love with the books! I think I wouldn't choose either side, because they both went to far(But they still were doing it for their values!). The Renegades waned to make the world a better place, and The Anarchists wanted to have freedom and rebellion. I am truly torn apart between the two sides and their values.

Kelly (kelly_ramos) I also read it in the beginning of the year and loved it, but I don't think I'd be a Renegade or a Anarchist - the Renegades ruled the city the way they thought was better, but I was not a fan of how they handled things. And the Anarchists were kind of fueled by a lot of negative feelings. I felt like both sides were thinking mostly about themselves, not about the city or the society.

mjraves (bookscoffeeandimalesbian) | 14 comments I agree with you, that’s an excellent point!

Yasia Ayce (yasiaayce) I read this series some months ago and I liked it, a lot. The thing is that I don't feel like it finished in a satisfying way. The premise was great and I loved the characters but in the end I don't feel like there was enough development of the friend group. Also some things (no spoilers) were there just for shock value but weren't fully resolved.

In terms of Renegades and Anarchists I feel like if you don't choose to be either but still want to do something you end up being an anarchist, so I think I would be an anarchist but not affiliated with the ones in the book.

Dalia | 183 comments I’m hoping to read Renegades soon because I never have!

Lauren Alexander (lady__ren) I finished the book yesterday! I thoroughly enjoyed this series and if I had to choose I think I would choose the renegades, as their decisions were more logic-based (rather than the anarchists more emotional-based approach) (also how cool would it be to be on Adrian's team! Loved the characters there!). However, I think both sides were at fault and both sides had benefits, and both sides were ultimately selfish.

Honestly, I would probably end up being a sort of vigilante like the Sentinel...more on the side of the renegades but also disagreeing with how the renegades handle stuff.

I really love how this series touches on good and evil and how there isn't really a proper distinction...it is all just kind of a gray area. Good job to Marissa Meyer for accurately capturing that!

kal (kalinda25) | 4 comments Ooh. That's a hard one. I like all of the books because they all have something to say that's really cool. You can also see how Nova evolves throughout all the books, which I find cool. I think Supernova is really good, because that's when you see everything coming together and you can see how she changed. Renegades is also good, because you can also see her changing as the book goes on, and it's where the story starts in the first place. Renegades is also good because it's a captivating plot. Really captivating. I think I wouldn't say Archenemies because it's the book stuck in the middle. I personally don't like the books in the middle, because they aren't usually the most action packed type of books that I'm a fan of. If a series is a trilogy, the book in the middle can be important because sometimes it is what holds the story together, but it's definitely not me favorite. I think if I had to pick, it would be Supernova because, like I said, the truth comes out in it, you can see the story coming together, and it's really fun with a lot of action.

kal (kalinda25) | 4 comments Also, does anyone have a favorite character? I know mine is Danna/Monarch because she takes risks, she's funny, she's really sharp (catches on to things before anyone else), and she really does want to make the world a better place (She's not like some Renegades that want to be in charge, have the authority, or try to make the world a better place but then destroy it).

Zece This is gonna sound irrelevant but I lowkey shipped Danna and Narcissa? Am I the only one?

Ella (Marauder's Version) The Book Monster | 14 comments I am absolutely in LOVE with this book!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 My favorite author is Marissa Meyer, so that kind of clouds my judgement but, still a great book!! I definitely do think that Maggie is Evie!

Debbie Reads | 2 comments Hey guys, I just finished reading book #2 and was wondering if this book is any good to read? Thanks :)

Yes for sure! Supernova concludes everything in the prefect way! I finished Supernova in less than a day it was that good :)

Kimiya (kikidaydreams) Ok this is super unpopular, but I 100% liked Archenemies and Supernova better than Renegades. It might have to do with me being in a reading slump when I read it, but I honestly didn't like it as much.

eliza | 53 comments I completely agree kimiya, and I think a lot of others would say the same! I personally think both books 2 and 3 were WAY better than 1, and i stand by that

Kimiya (kikidaydreams) Yesss thank you!
