Jessica and James had their heads together as they talked about the new people they had met.

"I still don't understand that regeneration thing that Piper did. She changed into a completely different person!" Jessica told him.

"I have no idea. We've meet some pretty weird people here but I think they are the strangest. I look forward to going back to Camp Half-blood."

Cerwyn sighed, "I don't know why we are here, Finn! We should be back at Glastonbury, trying to pierce the veil, to go home!" He flailed his arms, "I mean, a school? Really? We're Lords of Avalon, Lords of the Holy Isle, Lords of the Lake! Does that suddenly not mean anything to you?!"

Finnegan sighed, "The time of Avalon has passed long ago, brother. You know this. And..." He glanced over to see Cerwyn conjuring an image in the air. Tears burned in his eyes - a memory...not their's...but Melissa's...of their parents. He swatted at Cerwyn. "Stop it, you're only making it hurt more. Besides...dad's not dead. He's imprisoned for all of time...there's a difference."

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessica looked up suddenly. She saw the two other boys in the hallway who were obviously twins. "Look James!" she said, poking him in the side.

James looked up and saw the two brothers. "Hey! Their twins too! Let's go say hi."

They walked over till they stood right in front of Cerwyn and Finnegan. "Hello," they said together, their sea green eyes dancing.

Cerwyn glanced over at Finn, a smile darted across his face. "No...noooo." His brother said warily, "Don't you dare..." Cerwyn bounded forward, "Hi, I'm Cerwyn! And this is my - woah!"

Finnegan pulled him back and stood in front of him, blocking Cerwyn, and stood between his brother and the boy he was obviously going to try to flirt with. "And I'm his brother, Finnegan...We're the Merlyns." He extended his hand.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's James," Jessica said, looking the two boys over.

"And that's Jessica," James added.

"We are demigods, the children of the Greek god Poseidon," they said together. "It's nice to meet you."

"De-demigods?" Finnegan stampeded, "Poseidon? Children of Poseidon?" So Melissa didn't just send us to The Colonies for no reason. She had an agenda. He raised an eyebrow, "You two...are half Greek god?"

Cerwyn smiled, "Are you sure it isn't Adonis?"

Finnegan gave him an elbow in the ribs.

message 8: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 29, 2014 11:21PM) (new)

James and Jessica laughed. "Yes, we are half Greek god. Just like our brother, Percy."

"Well, technically, he's our half-brother," James said.

Jessica rolled her eyes. "Anyways, yes. We're sure it isn't Adonis. Dad sent his trident to glow over our heads 9 years ago at camp. Though mom told us before that because of the monsters."

"Uncles Zeus and Hades aren't too pleased that we're alive," James told them.

Finnegan felt a droplet of sweat for upon his brow, "Forgive my brother, we was...uh...well...flirting." He laughed nervously.

Cerwyn grinned widely, "Monsters? We've seen our fair share of monsters. We're...technically...monsters." Cerwyn said, and smiled, his eyes crinkling as it went from ear to ear. He shrugged and chuckled. It was true...they were Fae - and of divine descent themselves. Their father was a type of lesser god.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessica giggled, thinking he meant with her. Then she remembered who Cerwyn had been looking at James and started giggling even harder at the confused look on his face. "You are?" James asked them, curiously. "Does celestial bronze hurt you? Cause if it does you should stay away from our swords." Jessica was clutching her stomach now, trying to breath. "Jessica, what's wrong with you?"

Cerwyn stepped closer, and Finn did nothing to stop him. "No, it won't. We aren't like your Greco-Roman creatures. We're fairies." Cerwyn smiled, "And yes...we have wings." He winked.

Finngena spoke, "We are Fae, but we also a bit like you two, demigods. Our father was a child of Welsh Cerridwen and Irish Balor." He explained, "Cerridwen is...I guess you can say she was like Hecate, she was a witch-goddess and Balor was a Fomorian...an ancient and evil race of gods. He...raped our grandmother." He paused, "Which lead to our father being mistreated as a child."

message 12: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 30, 2014 12:23AM) (new)

The twins nodded as they explained what they were. It made much more sense to them when people compared what they were to the gods. "Sorry about your dad. "Our dad was swallowed by his father and our brother Percy, well, his stepdad was awful from the stories we've heard. And our halfbrother Triton? Don't even get us started on him," Jessica told them, once she'd gotten her breath back.

"We prefer Greek. Romans aren't too fond of children of the sea god," James said, both of them making faces.

"They don't even have a navy," Jessica added, shaking her head.

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 99 comments
Cerwyn smiled, "No navy? Those damn Romans!" He said, slightly mockingly. He kept stealing glances over at James.

Finnegan shook his head, "No need to apologize. Our father ended up a great man, adviser to a mighty king." He was dancing around the topic, not eager to say that their father was, in fact, "Merlin", Emerys the Immortal druid of King Arthur Pendragon's court of Camelot. It made people think outlandish things about the twins.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

"Really? What king? " Jessica said interestedly. "That is if you don't mind me asking," she added the last part, not knowing if they wanted to talk about it or not. They'd meet plenty of demigods who didn't like to talk about their pasts, such as Annabeth or Clarisse.

"Yeah. Stupid Romans. Dad didn't even give us any 'siblings' or what ever over there. His temple isn't even well kept. We had to do some major work on it when we went there," James told them. "That is before they kicked us out."

Finnegan and Cerwyn glanced at each other for a second and their telepathy went into use. Should we? though Cerwyn, his voice sounded nervous. Finn struggled for an answer, not sure what to do. I...I don't see any harm in it. He thought back. Both heaved a sigh. It was Cerwyn who spoke first. "Arthur." He said plainly, hoping they wouldn't think of the Pendragon right away.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

James and Jessica frowned, trying to think if they knew that name from somewhere. It couldn't have been a book. Both of them were dyslexic and hated reading. Finally, they said, "The name doesn't ring a bell. Should we know it from somewhere? We really only know the ones who were kids of Greek gods. Did you know George Washington was the son of Athena?"

Don't you dare! Finnegan thought into Cerwyn's mind. They didn't guess, so there was no need to tell them which Arthur. "Oh, no, we didn't!" He said with a forced laugh.

Cerwyn didn't like being told what to do, even if it was his dearest brother. "Pendragon. Arthur Pendragon. Of Camelot. Fifth Century ruler of Albion, which is now England. Some say he was of Roman blood, although we don't know. We were born after his death." He cringed as Finnegan screamed at him via telepathy, making his ears ring with white noise. If Finnegan screamed any louder, Cerwyn wouldn't gotten a bloody nose.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh, he's that guy with the round table right? And the really cool sword called Excaliber?" Jessica said, recognizing the name now.

"Not as cool as Percy's sword, Anaklusmos, though. His sword was originally Heracles' sword." James frowned as he saw Cerwyn wincing. "Why are you wincing?"

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 99 comments
Cerwyn smiled weakly, thinking that James cared, only fueling his attraction to him. "Telepathic screams hurt..." Cerwyn smiled, "Well, Excalibur was the sword of a god. The Claiomh Solais, or Sword of Light, the weapon of the god king Nuada."

Finnegan nodded, "It was one of the four sacred objects of our people and our faith, along with the Cauldron of Plenty that belonged to the god king The Dagda Allfather, the Spear of the god king Lugh, and the Stone of Fal. The Cauldron is also the Holy Grail that the Round Table sought, and the Spear is also the Spear of Destiny." He said matter-of-factly.

"Telepathic screams?" James said, looking at him, confused.

"You guys can speak to each other in your mind? That's cool. All we can hear are fish and horses and pegasi." Jessica looked at Finnegan. "I've never heard of those gods before. What do they do?"

Finnegan smiled faintly as Cerwyn glared at him. "Nuada was king of the Tuatha de Danann for seven years before they came to Ireland. After he lost his hand battling Sreng, a Fir Bolg - the current inhabitants of Ireland, he was forced to step down from the throne as the king had to be physically perfect. He had a silver hand until he got a new flesh and bone one and ruled for twenty more years, after the rule of the half-Fomorian Bres, who ruled for seven years in between Nuada's seven and twenty year rule."

"The Dagda was a High King of the Tuatha Dé Danann after his predecessor Nuada was injured in battle. He is the father-figure of the tribe, and father to Brigit and lover to both Danu and The Morrigan."

"Lugh is honored as the champion of artistry and skills. He was a storm god. He is sometimes seen as a sun god. His father is our grandfather, Balor."

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"Oh. Ok," the twins said. They still didn't really get it. But then again, not a lot of people understood their gods and why they still worshipped them. They had to, if they didn't want to get incinerated by someone, and they wanted to.

"One question," James said. "So if your grandfather, is Balor, and is the father of Lugh, what does that make you two and how old are you?"

Jessica rolled her eyes and pushed her twin's shoulder, making him stumble a few steps away from her. "Please excuse my tactless twin. And that was two questions, Seaweed Brain."

"Hey you can't call me that. That's what Annabeth calls Percy."

"So? It works for you too."

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 99 comments
Cerwyn chuckled, "Old enough." He was blushing. Finnegan rolled his eyes at his brother. Cerwyn smiled, "We were born in 538, 6th Century A.D, on Beltane."

Finnegan paled, utterly embarrassed that his brother so easily gave away their age. They belonged in a history museum, being so ancient. But then again, they had no idea how old they were in Fae years.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessica raised her hand and put it over James's opening mouth. "Don't even think about asking them to buy you alcohol," she scolded her twin.

James mumbled around her hand till she sighed and removed it from his face. "I was not going to ask them that, thank you very much." He crossed his arms in a huff. "I was going to say, so that's why their accents sound like that."

Cerwyn shoved Finnegan forward to respond, not liking to talk about this subject. It involved memories that weren't all that pleasant.

"Our 'aunt,' Melissa, got tired of my prankster brother, and sent him to...a boot camp, of sorts. Dun Scaith - the Fort of Shadows. It is, well, was, located in Scotland and is home to a great female warrior - Scathach, the Shadowy One. She taught him how to fight, and disciplined him. I can't say it worked much. While he lived there, I staid at Melissa's village in Ireland. Cerwyn's name is Welsh because our mother named him after an old friend." He stopped, and looked at Cerwyn, hoping he was okay. He hated thinking about Scathach and her twin Aoife. They were very tough on him.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

"Neat. Well I have to say, this Florida girl is in love with your accents," Jessica said smiling at them. It was a friendly smile though, not a flirty one.

James turned to Cerwyn and asked him, "So, do you wear those skirt things? What are they called?"

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 99 comments
Cerwyn smiled, "Kilts. They are called kilts."

Finnegan shook his head, "He refuses to wear pants. I'ts unbearable. And yes, there's nothing underneath his kilt. As a true Scotsman would." He said mockingly.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessica giggled, her eyes dancing. James of course asked, "Doesn't that get cold though?" He really wanted to know to.

Jessica rolled her eyes as she stopped giggling. "James, don't be rude," she chided him.

"What?" James asked her. "It's a legitimate question."

Cerwyn chuckled, "Yes, sometimes..." He blushed softly. He was finding James more and more attractive.

Finnegan sighed deeply. "So, uh, why did you two come here?" He asked, trying to change the course of the conversation away from Cerwyn's genitalia, before it got too close for comfort.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

"To finish our learning. That and Chiron was tired of us flooding things," Jessica told Finnegan. "He's our teacher at Camp Half-blood."

"Why do you wear it if it makes you cold then?" James asked, still curious about kilts.

"Only when it is rather cold outside. But then again, I lived in The Isle of Skye, in Northern Scotland, and it was pretty cold there - so I'd say I built up a tolerance to cold weather." Cerwyn said with a smile.

Finnegan nodded, "We just arrived here, with no idea what this place was. Our aunt sent us here - he's not our literal aunt, but we call her that, she raised us after our mother died and our father disappeared."

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm sorry about your parents," Jessica said. "Our mom lives in Florida but we haven't seen her in a while. And we've only seen our dad a few times. That's why we're looking forward to getting to live in his palace after we finish this last year at the academy."

"Oh. Ok. That kinda sounds like how we can't get burned by lava and stuff. Unless there's a lot of it," James said.

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 99 comments
Cerwyn laughed, "No, there's nothing magical about it. My body is just used to it." He said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

Finnegan nodded, "I thought demigods and gods had little interaction, and living at your father's palace? You must be his favorite children, or something, right?"

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

"Besides Percy, were his only children. At least living right now. See, back in the 40s, the Big Three, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, made this pact never to have kids again cause we cause too many bad things to happen. Like World War II for example. So Zeus broke the pact first, no surprise there. Then Poseidon did, first with Percy, then with us. We got to camp first but we're younger than Percy by a couple years. Percy stopped Kronos from coming back when he was 16. That was 4 years ago," Jessica said. Then she stopped. "That was a lot longer than I thought it was going to be."

Finnegan shook his head, "Don't remind me of WWII, gods, we were there. And the stuff the Nazi's were after? Magic! The Thule Society was an occult group that inspired Hitler. He stole the Lance, one of our four holy symbols. He also was trying to find a way into the Faerie."

Jessica nodded her head. "Yeah that would be the god. Nico's cool though. So is his sister Hazel, whose the daughter of Pluto, with a different mom, and was his sister Bianca, same mom as Nico. Their family is just plain complicated."

Finnegan shook his head, "We know complicated. You should see the Pendragon's family tree!"

Cerwyn glared at his brother, in an odd circumstance, it appears that, for once, the roles had changed. Cerwyn reprimanding his brother. "We don't talk about the Pendragon's family tree, you know that. Jeez, even I'M not stupid enough to bladder about it, Finnie!" He exclaimed. They were not to speak of the incest of the Pendragons.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

"I bet the family tree of the god's is even more complicated than the Pendragon's," James boasted. There were so many stories about the godly side of their family. Many of them were true but they really had no idea if all of them were.

Jessica giggled. "Finnie?" she said, covering her mouth as she tried to stop.

Cerwyn sighed, "Oh, yeah...the Pendragon's family, mainly on Igraine's side, has a long and twisted history that make up the gnarled and ancient roots of the elder tree." He said nearly poetically. The ancient royalty of Avalon was said to date back as far as Atlantis. This bloodline was, to some extent, Finnegan and Cerwyn's as well.

Finnegan sighed, "'Finnie' is a...pet name. And if anyone calls me that other than my brother...I kill them." He said, with his face showing that he meant it. It was very true.

Cerwyn drew a cruel smile, "Let's just drop the subject, okay?" He said. He was tempted to end it with 'drop the subject, cutie.' Or something to that effect, but thought against it. Drop the subject, then drop your pants.... He thought as he blushed softly. He realized how lewd he was thinking, and only blushed deeper.

Finnegan sighed, "Sorry. I'm being...a dick, aren't I?" He said. He looked at Cerwyn, who nodded, "But what else is new?" He heard his brother sat softly.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessica raised her gaze again and looked at them. "You two are the strangest twins we've ever met," she told them.

"Not that we've met a lot of twins before. Just Mr. D's twins," James added.

Jessica was about to say something, when she saw the back of a familiar head. "Percy!" she squealed and ran past Finnegan and Cerwyn and tackled Percy who turned just in time to catch her.

James rolled his eyes and said to the other twins, "Girls."

Percy laughed and hugged Jessica back. "How are you doing, Jessica?" he asked her, looking around for James who was usually never far behind. He saw him talking to two other boys. He walked over, his arm around Jessica's shoulders, and said, "Hi. I'm Percy. Why are you wearing a skirt?"

Cerwyn's eye twitched, "Perseus Jackson, do not mock my kilt or you will meet my blade." He said firmly. Finnegan intervened at this point, "Hello, Mr. Poseidon's-Favorite-Son. He's just...well, tired of people poking fun at his Scottish heritage..." Cerwyn growled at this point. Finn shot him a look, "He's usually more...well...flamboyant." Cerwyn gave a look of offense, "Me? Flamboyant? Never!" He exclaimed in an overly dramatic fashion, thus contradicting himself, albeit on purpose. Finnegan sighed. He looked over Percy Jackson, the Grecian demigod. He saw he was rather attractive. He wondered who'd fall first, him or his brother - because he suddenly wanted to do so many naughty things to this boy. He mentally scolded himself for thinking like his brother.
