Maggie | 394 comments Hi, wasn't too sure about Orphan Train at first but once I got into it I really enjoyed it. The ending was a bit quick though. A subject in American history that I'd heard nothing about. Similar to the transportation of orphans from here in Uk to Australia, which was still going on in the '60's and 70's.
Recommended.

My favourite book of the year! I read it many times when I was a child. Lovely lovely book, so sad - I cried, again!

Just downloaded this last weekend -- glad to hear it was good. The last few bestsellers have left a lot to be desired as far as holding interest.

Ooh! I've been in a little bit of a Turing/codebreakers/Enigma/Bletchley Park kick lately, so I've added that one to my list. Thanks, Maggie!

Its really a very interesting book, simply written, I knew about Bletchley Park, Enigma etc - but I was amazed at how big the whole thing was. I thought Bletchley Park was just a country house but there were 1.000's there!
