Really unusual start with all the newspaper articles, and intel reports. It reminds me of adventure novels, or a spy thriller. I don’t feel that too much has happened yet, bar the characters meeting up for forced societal events, so I’m hoping there is a little more to come. The character driven sections remind me more of a written down version of a YouTube celebrity channel than a story so far. Interested to see why Roth has taken that angle.

The opening article with all of its smug misogyny was almost a huge turn off, even though I know it was done for effect. Highly amused by the slightly later article being written by 'Jay Kaufman' lol.

Yeah I spotted that too, and it amused me.
