Karyn Myers | 36 comments One of the characters early on, refers to octopus as monsters. The author clearly disagrees. What are your feelings? I confess would not be eager to to touch an octopus. Although I can see beauty in them, there is an alien quality about them that is frightening.

Shirley (ssprenne) | 7 comments I've not read the book yet, but am curious how the author feels about eating octopus. I won't touch it.

Karyn Myers | 36 comments I don’t think she’d be for it, at one point they go out for sushi and she thought that was an odd choice being they just spent the day at an aquarium. She got the California roll which I think is vegetarian

message 4: by Deane Louise (new)

Deane Louise (dlg67) | 6 comments I’ve always been enchanted with aquariums and aquatic life. This book has enchanted me and while I’m still listening to the audio version, I’m enjoying her descriptions of the different sea animals she comes to know. I have found this a fascinating and very interesting book. The Boston aquarium was always a favorite and enchanting place for me and now I want to go back.
