This is the movie title for the book My Life as an Alphabet.
I loved this book so much I didn’t want to finish it. I have started it’s journey around our teachers as we have so many who love to read our books.
The movie was due out this year but may be delayed now.
The main character Candice (aged 12) is different and she knows it but she’s determined to save her family who as she puts it ‘is going down the toilet’ due to grief and health issues.
Probably on the spectrum she is challenging to her parents and much admired English teacher but she is a wonderfully optimistic character who appreciates her difference and only sees the best in others.
We have "My Life as an Alphabet" - it's been popular and is looking tatty so it was an easy decision to buy the new version "H is for Happiness". It just arrived on my desk the other day and I haven't had a chance to open it yet, but I guess it's exactly the same as the first book? The haven't altered it to better reflect the movie have they?

A wonderful read. Highly recommended.
