What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read this book in 2019, I can't remember when though. I remember that this girl goes to a magic academy and one of her friends can astral project as her power and another can control emotions I think. Anyways, the girl meets this one guy and he is a vampire and he's trying to find a cure for vampirism by testing his possible cures on himself. I remember that he has to teach the girl how to kill a vampire with a wooden stake. I'm also pretty sure that the book has a light purple cover, but I'm not 100% sure. I know that it is not Fallen. If I think of more details I will add them. :)

Right, I forgot those details! The main characters are teenagers, maybe 16-18? And the book is young adult I think. I think the heroine has special powers, but I can't remember what. And yes, she is fully human. Also, there are other shifters at the school and one of them turns into a wolf and helps the heroine and her vampire boyfriend kill some vampires.
