Cederick did seem arrogant in Harry Potter, but the more I think about, and talk about it, I can sense why they chose him for Edward. I can't explain it! I hated him! Now I'm confused.

i dont know i dont exactly like him i hated him in harry potter but if he does a good job in the movie then ill be happy but i just dont like him at all i dont think hes that good for edward i dont know i just think that

I think he's good for Edward. He looks like what I imagined Edward to look like, surprisingly. He's been in other movies besides Harry Potter, and he was just acting, most likely he's not like that in real life, but you never know. As long as he plays the part well, I'm fine with him.

He (to me) looks like Edward. He may hav dyed his hair that reddish brown, but he looks it. I like his jaw. Isn't that a weird thing to say? Besides alot of factors go into choosing ppl for the part, besides looks.

I hate him as an Edward!!! i think that he did and amazing Cedric though. he was hot in that movie... what happened?

I feel that I need to see him in the role to choose if he's right for edward. he doesn't look much like my personal image of him but hey, everyone has a different personal image of him :D

I wasn't all that crazy about him as Edward either, but Stephenie Meyer has said that next to Henry Cavill, he's the closest person to the Edward she imagined when writing the book. Stephenie has been able to see some of the shooting and she's said he's amazing. Kirsten and him I guess are perfect, only according to the author though....

Don't be so negative. If that was the chosen cast then they will be how everything is supposed to be. THe casting directors know what they're doing

I don't like Robert as Edward. He's not that gorgeous guy that you tak your eyes off of. Although, I'm not happy with a lot of the cast. There are so many more choices out there for all of them. I'm trying to give them a chance, but as of now I just don't see it. They screwed up the Cullen cars and Forks High too.

Omg i cant belive people dont like robert or the rest of the cast iv seen them in other films and i think they fit perfectly. But im not sure about the girl who is playing Alice?

i dont kno i liked the cars i thought they fit but emmets car i was thinking a rundown jeep or something with lots of mud alices car is nice so is edwards i like it a lot

I was on You tube the other day and i saw a clip of the cars and i dont think they have edwards right at all but im fussy, i see things that i think are right in my head, but Edwards volvo is all wrong :D

Nope, they definitely didn't get him right. But it IS pretty hard to get the perfect guy right, you know? I just hope he's better than he was in Harry Potter ...

He DOES suit Edward PERFECTLY and he is a great actor, Plus he's cute thats gotta count for something......

But his car is definately wrong :)

i saw a pic of Emmett's jeep and it is the perfect jeep and everything but it is sliver and not red! that makes me mad. i love the red one on steph's web site

if they know what they are doing by picking such a none perfect edward than it makes them even more guilty of their bad choices. it's not only the edward pick i oppose it's the jasper pick too....at least the got a good bella.

I think at Edward is a better pick than Shark Boy for Jacob. But James will be enough eye candy - even though he's a total bad guy.

I like the guy who is playing Jasper I think he suits the role, but i definately agree with you nicole, Shark boy for Jacob. I mean come on i know jacob is supposed to be young but the guy playing him looks TOO young.

ugh. i hate jasper's hair in the movie!!! it is monsterous!! and i saw pictures of the stunt doubles for Edward (Robert) and they are hotter than he is!!!!

i totally disagree that the guy they got for Edward is perfect. He fit for Cedric in Harry Potter, but that should have ENDED it. And Jasper's hair sucks for the movie. It should be...idk...different. Not so poofy. Although, maybe the Cedric/Edward guy would look better if the pics of him weren't so..........freaky.

Some guy called Michael Welch, and he does suit the part, I cant wait to see the film as a whole cos it so far looks awesome!
oh and Jaspers hair is a bit strange but i like it and he is so HOT!!!!

wow guys...i think robert is a GREAT edward! he is sexy, in that half boy-next-door/half bad boy kind of way. i always pictured edward was being that mysterious,gorgeous guy...with nice eyes and sex hair haha- and robert is def that!

In my mind Edward is perfect and im sure everyone who has fallen in love with the series has their own idea of the perfect Edward ..so there isnt really anyone who could become like these amazing characters but lets all just be open-minded and give the cast a chance plus you know your all going to see the movie anyway weither you like the cast or not! lol ..so yeah to me the perfect edward is in the books and in our minds! I LOVE YOU EDWARD!:)

I'm a new group member, but I'm a huge fan of these books. As far as Cedric being Edward, I agree with Kendall. I didn't picture him as Edward, but we'll never know how good he is until the movie is released.

I think Edward is a way better pick than that bella.

i agree--I don't like the way robert looks. He just isn't right

at first i hated all of the actors but i have to admit they grew on me - like i actually think they will do a good job

OMG, OMG, OMG I love the whole cast, I love robert as Edward, he's perfect for the part. And i love the guy playing Jasper hair included!!!!
In fact i love the whole cast and i dont see why people have problems with it, the only cast member i dont like is the guy playing Jacob! Sharkboy is WWWAAAAYYY to young looking....

he looks okay but young i mean he needs to mature like a whole lot to fit the part once again edward looks like crap

LEAVE JASPER ALONE! MEANIES!!!!! Jackson Rathbone really suits the part of Jasper and his hair looks exactly like i always imagined it to be :D so I'm happy!

I think that the Edward that they chose isn't right but it is really hard to find a perfect guy so I guess if Robert plays the Edward really well then I'll consider that he may be a ok Edward.

i agree with yasmin- i think jasper is perfect! i love the wild hair...its just like him-how he cant control himself. he looks myterious and brooding all the time- definately sexy.

i really dont care who gets the parts as long as the movie sticks to the book. There are some movies that miss important parts in the book. I do admit at first i thought it was awful they put him as edward but i guess it could have been worse.
