The Perks Of Being A Book Addict discussion

Here's a new challenge for you all! I just realized that the books I recently read formed a chain and I thought it would be fun to do that intentionally. The goal is to read a book that has at least one of the same words (or a grouping of words) in the title as the book that you read previously. You can link as few as two or as many as you like. Set your own goals.

Time limit: you decide how long you want to play for
Links: you decide how many links you want to make

Example:
I read -> The Book of Lost Friends -> The Book of Lost Names -> The Girls with No Names -> My next book should have "girls" in the title to continue the chain.

I tend to read multiple books at once and not every book will fit in my chain. The goal is to be intentional with it. You may decide that every book should fit your chain or one book per month. It is totally up to you how difficult you want to make it for yourself.

Hey! I do think this is a great idea but the books I read seem to have no words in common except probably 'the' :) But I do think your idea's really creative

Thanks, Rose. It's definitely a challenge you would need to plan for. You have to find books that fit and work them into your reading.

I just finished reading The Girl with Seven Names: A North Korean Defector's Story. It almost works with your chain! Cool idea for a challenge :)

I'll give this one a shot. Did you have a time frame for the challenge? Or just set your own pace?

I figured it would be a set your own pace since some people may want to try to link several books.

ohh my god! I just love all these games you guys come up with. it's just spinning my reading off kilter completely.

Hello! I did a title chain challenge a few years ago in another group and found it a lot of fun. I want to jump in with this challenge, but I'm going to keep it open-ended since I'm not reading as fast as I used to. I'll keep updating as I go. My goal to start will be 12, at least. I'll see how far I can go before I get stuck. Thanks for posting this challenge! I've been wanting to do something like this again. :)
