Lorellie Do tell. As previously stated, I've been a bit busy to do the reread. But it is a favorite, so I'm prepared to discuss. You must also look into Oscar Wilde's personal history. He was an extremely interesting man with such a sad death.

Kevin Lobo | 19 comments I was particularly not into books other than fantasy. But this changed my liking towards classics. Ending was dark and amazing. I lovedit.

whe. he killed basil, i was like what thehell is happening

message 17: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Lobo | 19 comments Dorian seemed so nice in the beginning, but the way he became darker and the influence of portrait was mesmerizing

message 18: by Lorellie (new)

Lorellie Fantasy is my favorite as well. I enjoy how many of the classics from this era capture that special sense of magic happening within the real world. Like, it's right under everyone's nose and we don't see it. So many people just look past Dorian. Frankenstein is another you should consider. It does much the same thing, but on a more Sci-fi level.

message 19: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Lobo | 19 comments yeah, i will definitely read that one.
