This line works so well having just read about Melanie in ‘The Girl with all the Gifts’. She too was all ‘Let me pretend to be your trusted ally, and you will protect me, while I burn the world down around you.’

Gosh, he is so dark...I love it!

Also Pierce Brown’s prose is so immediately fantastic from the get-go.

I’m just wondering...would it not solve all his problems to just do a quick shotgun wedding with Mustang. I assume if you are part of the family, a blood feud can no longer be warranted.

Then again, he will probably end up under the tutelage of the Knight to get the best training evarrr, and regain his reputation more heroically.

Finally started catching up! And finally, a book I could just inhale - enjoying it immensely :)

I did suspect when things opened going well that they were due a big crash. 'Story', n'all :)

Not sure on the family blood feud thing, though - seems like the kind of world where family is more likely than anyone to shank you in the kidneys o_O
