Jim Swike I read this book and did enjoy it at the time. I wonder if this book would possibly be written differently in the year 2015 versus 2006. The cell phone has evolved both technologically as well as culturally in this short time. It might change some of the story lines in the book. Your thoughts on this?

Jeanine Celentano Of course I agree with you.
I guess we need to ask Stephen King if it should.

Jlsimon I'm not sure if it would need to change to be honest. Even with all the changes to cell phones, they are basically computers in your pocket. I loved this book, but I'm the only one of my acquaintances that did. It is completely believable in the realm of King Land.

Leah I don't think it does, like jlsimon said they are basically computers...size, color, and features may have changed but it's still the same device. I read this when it first came out and will read it again. I'm excited about the movie. I will also admit that it made me weary of cell phones, lol.

Jill Deschuytter Wow, the power of the phone would be so much more creepy now. The phones and computers could work together and take over the whole world... it would be creepier then the world in The Circle and that was horrifying to read.

If I read more books like this I'll have to start thinking about dumping my phone, laptop, Ipad,.... :D
