YAY! I was so happy to see this because... I love Twilight 😋I remember when the book first came out, and since I love vampires I asked my mom to get it for me for Christmas. I had no idea it was a teen romance. I was away with my family for Christmas at a remote cabin and once I started reading I couldn't stop. I loved this book so much.
It gets a lot of shit, but it was a memorable reading memory for me (like many). I kinda got tricked into reading romance by vampires!
The Twilight series gets a bad rap IMO and I'm glad to see that it is a 5* read for you. I own all of the books in this series, but Breaking Dawn is hands down my favorite, because that is the book where Bella finally blossoms into who she was meant to be.
As a horror fan and vampire fan, I think the shade at Twilight is stupid. Especially when people are like "Twilight ruined vampires!" That's freakin ridiculous. It's just easy to pick on it which makes it bullying (IMO) 🥱
Doughgirl, I love BD too. I love Bella as a vampire. I love her power and I love seeing her protect her family instead of the other way around.
Meli, I agree with you completely. I like when authors do their own take on lore especially when that lore has been around for so long!
I know many people think Twilight is a joke and I'm okay if people feel that way. Twilight will always have a special place in my heart, though, because it's the reason I read as much as I do. When I first read it in 2007, I only read one maybe two books each year. Once I read Twilight, I usually read no less than 30 books a year if I'm not in a reading slump due to my mental health issues.
I reread Twilight now because I'm so excited that Midnight Sun is finally being released next Tuesday. I've read the first half, of course, but I've wanted that second half for 12 years! I can't wait!
