Hahaha yes Rowan is awesome!!

those two as friends I can trully get it,awesome, he can be he's right hand, magic power soulmate, but as a life partner,no way,on the other hand She and Chaol ,totally awesome,I lke that connection there

I don't get how people try to justify Celaena breaking up with Chaol and then getting with Rowan by saying stuff like 'Chaol was horrible to her. When in my opinion Rowan was far worse he was abusive to her in HOF and said that she was better off dead. but that doesnt matter because he's fae and hot if Chaol said that people would loose it. and what Chaol did to Celaena in COM i don't get the fuss what he did was understandable and Celaena could not forgive it wtf is wrong with the author she must have some intensive wet dreams about Rowan at night

I think we should make a drinking game for every time the author mentions the powerful presence or perfect body of Rowan or anytimes he's full of rage because Celeana did not listen to him or did something without him knowing it. xD
(I'm sorry if there is any english mistakes, btw)

But i really was glad that she broke up with Chaol. He needs a good sweet girl and Aelin was just too wild for him. Which is good, because I love her fire and I kinda disliked Chaol at the end of book 2

The second reason is Rowan doesn't fear Aelin's power and he doesn't fear the fact that she is fae. When Aelin was with Chaol, he always seemed so horrified whenever Aelin did something fae-like or showed her true power. Chaol was holding her back, Rowan wants Aelin to become the most powerful version of herself and he's not afraid to push her.

That's an excellent point! When you've gone through hell and seen your life ripped apart, it can be absolutely wonderful to find someone who has gone through the same thing, can empathize, and doesn't pity you :)
Plus, Celaena/Aelin would probably murder anyone who pitied her ;)

However, from the moment SJM forced the romance between the both of them, I started to hate all the scenes with him. It felt so weird and unnatural. All the focus on how manly he's, how handsome, strong etc... So cringy.
I wished SJM stopped their relation at how they were at the end of Heir of Fire, The romance just doesn't make sens to me.
I know a lot of people like him more after Heir of Fire, but I found him to be a real let down.

You make a good point! I'm a huge fan of Rowan in Heir of Fire but the romance between him and Aelin is not fleshed out well at all in the later books. They are extremely compatible here and have great chemistry, but the writing didn't manage to capture it in the pages in the other books of the series.
But Rowan/Aelin from Heir of Fire is possibly one of my all time favourite pairings

And he was kinda mean to Aelin when he's first introduced.
I don't know, I don't really like the Throne of Glass series in general anyway.

Once Rowan is freed from Maeve he was immediately sworn to Aelin, so he doesn't even get to have his own intentions. He's constantly under someone else. He literally has zero reason to try to restore Terrasen besides the fact that it was Aelin's home. Everyone else pitched in because they hoped to find something. Aedion wanted to restore his family legacy. Lysandra and Evangeline wanted a home. Gavriel did it mainly because of his son but also because he and Fenrys didn't have much of a choice. Lorcan did it for Maeve, revenge on Aelin and eventually to stay with Elide. Elide wanted to be on the right side of history. But Rowan has no motive of his own. Think about it: if Rowan was free of Maeve and never met Aelin, what would he have done? We don't know because he always followed Maeve's orders, and when he didn't have to he dedicated everything to helping Aelin. We have no clue what Rowan would do if he focused on himself. He doesn't have a personality or any hobbies or anything. When people describe Rowan they usually talk about his dedication to Aelin or his good looks or his muscular build, because those are his only significant traits.
No, I don't hate Rowan. But he has no character growth throughout the series so I do see him as kind of pointless.

But I was also disappointed with their dynamics in the later books. Rowan was written weirdly and not fleshed out well in the later books. In Heir of Fire alone though - I loved their relationship

me too honestly, I guess I felt like celaena/ aelin is awsome but reading celaena/ aelin with rowan is for some reason giving me like haymitch katniss vives and I know its crazy but I can't really shack that off.
