This one was quite popular when we did it a few years ago. We can get in to the Halloween, scary mood without having to read horror books. The only stipulation is that it must be a human body part contained in the title so no wings, feathers, tails etc. It will be fun to see how many different body parts will be represented in the titles! As usual, the word body is allowed as well so Agatha Christie's A Body in the Library, The Moving Finger and By the Pricking of My Thumbs would be a good start. Hope everyone has fun with this one!

Connie's Body Parts:
1)The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie 01/10 (love these quick reads that actually fit a challenge category)
2)Cold Cold Heart by Tami Hoag 02/10
3) Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill 03/10
4) The Bone Bed by Patricia Cornwell 04/10
5) The Moving Finger by Agatha Christie 07/10
6) Stone Heart by Luanne Rice 09/10
7) Sweetness in the Belly by Camilla Gibb 15/10
8) Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult 21/10
9) In the Skin of a Lion by Michael Ondaatje 23/10
10) In the Wolf's Mouth by Adam Foulds 27/10
(So far this body I am creating has 4 hearts, at least one bone, a finger, a belly, some skin and a mouth!❤️💚💜💛🍖☝🏼👕💪🏼👄)

This is so funny! Linda and I will often discuss possible book categories and where books we buy could fit. I recently bought The Black Lung Captain. I was telling Linda about it on Monday and she said, "body parts!". Then that night I saw October's special. We got a good laugh about it. :) And yes, I'll be reading The Black Lung Captain in October. :)

Too funny! I'm interested to know what it is about!

I'll let you know. It's science fiction, so there's no telling. :)

I have a question. What about compound words, like Heartless?

You can use compound words as long as the "body part" is in there somewhere.
