Play Book Tag discussion

This sequel to The One and Only Ivan is centered on Bob the dog, Ivan's best friend. Bob was adopted by George the janitor's family after Ivan and Ruby were sent to the zoo, where George now works. A hurricane sweeps into town and in the chaos that follows, Bob sets out to find his sister.

I loved Bob's personality, which comes through clearly in his narrative voice. I think this book was just as good as the previous. Ivan and Ruby come into it a little, but Bob is definitely the protagonist. After reading the previous book I found newspaper articles on the real Ivan, and the author reflected his traits in the book as well - his shyness with females, and the fact that he carried a burlap bag around because he didn't like to sit in the damp.
