@JP I would say... no. I mean it’s good if you do but I’m reading book 2 right now and it gives you like a recap at the beginning of the book of what happened in book 1 and explains certain things about what happened in book 1 with some characters but only some things and not everything.
By accident I started reading book 3 instead of book 2 a while ago and I understood it completely fine even though I hadn’t read book 2 and the only reason I realised I was reading the wrong book was because it referenced something that happened in book 2 and I realised that hadn’t happened in book 1 so I must’ve been reading the wrong book.
Overall the plot for all 3 books (I’m not sure about the 4th because it’s the only one I haven’t read anything of) are not at all connected. Apart from having the same characters they all seem to be separate adventures that are understandable on their own but are probably better appreciated with knowledge of the previous book. If you want to read this book and need any explanations about what happened in any of the other books I could explain for you!

@Spencer 😂have I enticed you into reading one of the books now?
The thing I should probably highlight is that each book does have a recap of the previous book(s). Like when I read book 2 it spoilt the main plot points of book 1 and when I read book 3 it did the same for book 2. So if you decide to read book 4 now it will definitely spoil one or maybe all of the previous books. For me I’d find that annoying because all of the books are mystery books so the mystery of one of the previous books would definitely be spoilt if you wanted to read book 4 and then go back and read book 2 but if you forget easily or you don’t mind knowing what happens in a previous book then go for it!

Hey Audrey we're at the same point now! If you're planning on reading this one we can do it together at some point if you like😊 I've been meaning to read it for a while. I even got a copy of the 5th book because I want to catch up in time for book 6.
