Joseph | 1651 comments I expect to finish out the year with Kate Elliott's Crown of Stars series -- I just the other day started The Burning Stone, book #3 of 7.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments I finished The House of Hades the other night. A couple main characters went through hell, literally. Otherwise it was pretty standard same old stuff as the rest of the series.

Thanks Joseph for setting the thread up, I planned to pop back and check it was done.....

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments Finished The Trouble with Peace. A bit slow in the beginning, but eventually picks up. Very solid. Looking forward to finding out what comes next.

Shifting gears now and reading a contemporary perfect for winter: Beartown.

I’m about halfway through our group read, Rage of Dragons. The magic is interesting.

Palash (naikon) | 63 comments Finished reading The Poppy War. Amazing read. Gave it 5 stars on goodreads. Now onto The Dragon Republic. Meanwhile, going slowly through Memories of Ice in parallel.

Dhanusha | 109 comments Read the group read The Rage of Dragons and finally onto the long overdue The Ruin of Kings

I'm currently reading Seventh Son which is better then I thought it would be. I'm also reading Traitor's Knot which is great. I love Janny Wurts reading style (even though I sometimes have to look words up which reading on a Kindle makes easy).

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments After something of a book slump, I'm back on track.

Reading The Part About the Dragon Was (Mostly) True right now, and it's amazing. Funny and fast paced.

Also working on audio for Norse Mythology, which is brilliant in part due to Gaiman's narration.

Due to my slump and real world issues, I've paused my reading of Rhythm of War in order to get caught up on some other commitments. Once I'm semi caught up, I'll resume. I'm about 1/3 of the way through.

Also had started Dragon Mage before the slump hit. Since I'm just a little bit in, I'm planning on starting over when the new year kicks in.

Enchanted Bookends (ankita-enchantedbookends) Blood of Dragons by Robin Hobb!

So I finished Traitor's Knot. It was great. What makes Janny so good is her characters act in completely unexpected ways that catch you off guard and her writing is so rich that if it where cake it would give you diabetes. I have to read her books very slow so I can enjoy all the complexity and beautifulness of her writing.

I went ahead and started The Ember Blade.

message 24: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 1651 comments I started Child of Flame and given that it's 900+ pages long, I very strongly expect it's the last book I'll be starting in 2020.

I read Embers Blade ages ago, not sure I remember enough for whenever the second part is published.
