Julesy QUESTION: Regarding this task -
56. Dawn is a Trekkie and an outdoorsy person who loves animals. She is a licensed, clinical social worker, and psychotherapist. She loves true crime, mysteries, and thrillers. Read The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.

I read the book when it was initially released. Does this mean I would have to re-read the book? Or is there an appropriate substitute?

Pamela Mclaren | 193 comments I'm in and have already started! I just noticed the addition of Requirement #56, which is the only one that asks the participants to read a specific book. And like Julesy, I agree: Do we have to read just this one book, or do we have options, like the Alex Cross series by James Patterson, Manhunter by Thomas Harris or Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware series, etc.?

Hi Nike,
Just updating my feed and saw your message. I've read the Stella Cameron Alex Duggins mysteries and in the first book one of the main characters takes a dog under her wing, so to speak. Maybe you can check one of these for your challenge? It wasn't an official adoption but I listed it as such.
Regards

So that box I can check now. I'm still looking for crime novels with dachshunds and Old Sheepdogs though. Thank you so much for your help and I'm glad I'm not the only one who started this challenge late =).

It's a cozy mystery but I used this for the dachshund category:
Arsenic and Adobo (Tita Rosie's Kitchen Mystery, #1) by Mia P. Manansala Arsenic and Adobo by Mia P. Manansala

I read this book that had an accountant:
A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena

Not sure if either of these books work for you.

Karen This looks like an interesting challenge. I think I will give it a try.

Rubena - could you please provide some guidance/instruction about how I can copy your tasks in order to track my progress? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Rubena | 66 comments Hi Karen,
What I did was to go to message number 2 where all the tasks are given and copied and then pasted the list into a new message. I saved it. Each time I finish a book, I go back to my original message, edit it and add the information on the title and the date I completed it. Try it and see if it works. If not, let me know.
Hope you had a good Christmas.
