I really liked the story. Before this book I was reading a few different Christmas romances, all of which had at least one sad element to them, so I definitely needed a Christmas book that would be more joyful. This book was exactly what I needed!
Initially I thought that Maelyn was going to end up with Theo, which would have disappointed me greatly because of the whole face-licking thing and because it was clear that Andrew was clearly the better fit for her. I also was not sure if I would like the stuck in a loop trope because sometimes those can get really repetitive, but I loved how the authors executed it in this book. I also just loved the ending, the entire last portion was sooooo good. I loved the peppermint kisses, the old people portrait, the cottage in the backyard, the engagement, the whole damn thing.
Overall the book was just a really good read for the Christmas season.
