My Netgalley account is a mess.
I got very click-happy in the early days and then somehow found it hard to say no to the many arcs that came my way.
I am taking 2021 to read and review as many outstanding titles on my Netgalley shelf. The crazy thing is, I've also got many books that I already have read but I never took the time to review. 2020 was a year to escape into books, but writing about them just felt like too much at times.

I'll be adding to the list as I read and review each title. My aim is to reach 100.

I’m in the same boat Em, it just all got a bit overwhelming and I actually stopped enjoying my reading because I put so much pressure onto myself to read and review asap. Now I’m so far behind... I just want to read and enjoy again.
I’m thinking to just give stars ratings and only remarks if it feel necessary...that way I can maybe catch up a bit without committing to anything but reading for enjoyment.

Julie I know exactly how you feel I too am so far behind with my reviews and I too am feeling the pressure as I want to start fresh next year.

Great challenge Em_Jay. I caught up on my Netgalley books this year. I had some on my shelf for over two years. It feels so go to see those books disappear. I only have two now and they are published in January. Good luck!

That was exactly how I was when I started and exactly how I've felt this year. I'm hoping to clean mine up this coming year. Good luck.

I'm not on Netgalley, but I do find that I download free ebooks which I then forget about - because out of sight (hidden on my ipad), out of mind, right?!! I have a post in my thread where I've listed my ebooks to try to help remind me that they're there! I have also tried to include more in challenges this year, rather than thinking I'll somehow read them in addition to the books I read for challenges!

And I also hear your reviewing pain! (And Julie's, and Sharon's!!) I've had years where I've reviewed everything, and then years where I've reviewed nothing! I'm currently at the same point as Julie - rate the book, if there's anything I specially want to say about it, I review it. Otherwise, I don't!

I am going to draw a line under this challenge. 2021 was not the year of the clean up I had hoped. I'll be starting again in 2022.
