AliciaJ | 781 comments I’m a little scattered in my reading so far, but I’m starting Moon Called tonight.

Sandra | 25908 comments :D Yay Alicia!

I finished my re-reading of Moon Called last night. Loved it.

Read a couple of new shorties and deciding what else I feel like reading.

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments I'm scattered too, AliciaJ. Off to a slow start 'cuz nothin' is sticking when I pick it up. I started to return to Elliott James' Legend Has It (read #4 in 2016), but looked him up to see what's been released since #5 and nada. Author has stopped writing, I guess. :( So, I'm gonna keep #5 on the back burner a bit longer.

I settled on Veiled so that I can read the newest additions to Halle's EIT series. I was so surprised to see she'd returned to EIT. :) (Ghosted & Came Back Haunted)

ETA: I forgot to mention, I read Devon Monk's Wayward Souls and recommend it. If you read Monk's Ordinary Magic series, this is loosely based on it. This one takes place on Rt 66, there's mention of the town where gods vacation, etc.

Lis | 4037 comments Currently listening to The Turn: It begins with death by Kim Harrison and then moving on to the Mercury pack Shards of Frost by Suzanne Wright.

AliciaJ | 781 comments I just finished The Adversary, it was great to hang with Pia and the gang again, even if the book was too short. I hope she comes out with a full length novel again soon.

Sandra | 25908 comments Oh, I've got that one Alicia glad to hear it was good.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments I've on a non humanoid mate thing lately so I'm reading I Married A Lizardman.

Question! I've seen a lot, but never read, rejected mates theme lately. I know it's been going on for a while but I don't see the appeal. Whenever I go read reviews for a title in this genre I get widely divergent opinions. Why would you read about someone constantly being put down, rejected, set aside (or simply picked up when convenient)? Is there a title really worth reading in this genre without having too much teenage angst?

I've heard fab things about that one, I hope you like it, it's on my TBR.

Unfrozen (Valos of Sonhadra, #9) by Regine Abel Iced (Valos of Sonhadra #10) by Regine Abel I recently read these two by her and really enjoyed them imensely.

Sandra | 25908 comments I'm like you Val, can't see the appeal in that kind of genre.

I have read a couple of them, and tbh, they have been more about personal choice and moving on to better things. One that I think of in particular is a PNR series Rejected by Jaymin Eve. It's an ongoing series, but the first three books are feature the same couple, the female being a rejected mate. This one is more about choice over fate in the fact that we can choose our fate, imo.

Antonio Caruso (antoniopatrick) | 1 comments Under the Red Moon
Under the Red Moon by Antonio Caruso

So i wrote a brand new dystopian fiction novella e-book.. The concept is pretty out there, but I think it's interesting and relevant.. The name is "Under the Red Moon" and I'm super proud of it.
.
Writing this book was a labor of love and the writing process was totally worth the effort, and I think you guys will dig it.

AliciaJ | 781 comments I just finished the amazing last book A Veiled & Hallowed Eve in the Soulbound series by Hailey Turner. I loved it, even though it's really sad that it's the last book.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Since I saw the movie Dune I've been waiting for the audiobook from the library. It's going to take a while. Dune (Dune Chronicles, #1) by Frank Herbert

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments I bet the audio will be good. My husband loved the book and we've seen the movie too.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments It’s the same trader than Game of Throne I think. It’s a multi cast audiobook. It really help to have seen the movie , I can grasp more readily the political undertone and intrigue.

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments Cool! I may have to check it out sometime. Thx.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9661 comments Read Morning Glory Milking Farm by C.M. Nascosta . Hilarious premise with some unforeseen depths. Granted, my mind is in the gutter this week.
