Goodreads Ireland discussion

Would anyone be interested into reading a book voted in by participants a month and have discussion on it at the end of the month? Could be done fully on Goodreads, but could also do Zoom/Discord/etc.

I can make you a moderator if you want to do group reads.

If there would be a decent demand for it, I’d be happy to make it happen. But until we can get like 5 people doing it actively, I don’t think it’s worth it. :/

I'd love to participate, we do something similar where I work and it actually works really well.

Okay then, people. I'll put up a list of books for the month of June.

1. The Ancestor by Lee Matthew Goldberg
2. They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
3. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune

Rules are that you can read one or all of them and we can have discussions about the books, my suggestion is that we use spoiler tags after mentioning the book or specific parts of it like chapters before the tag.

I also have a discord server that I don't use, but I'm happy to add people to if they'd prefer a voice chat at the end of the month or just a place to chat about the books.

Thank you for your efforts in setting this up. Do you post this on the goodreads members site and if so where?

If I understand your question correctly - you can comment right here about the books you are reading.

You can read the book and just let us know if you liked it or not. If you want to talk about it more - you can write your own review, you can ask questions or just talk about topics and your thoughts about the book - as intricate as you'd like!

If the comment does not include spoilers from the book - you can comment whatever you like.

If it does - I'd suggest using < spoiler > before the part of your comment that includes details and plot points from the book and < / spoiler > after it (delete the spaces between the "beaks"!!).

Thanks. My query was is there a section on the goodreads site where the names of the books of the month are kept or is it just in this notificaiton?

I could make a separate discussion for each month, but would appreciate mod input on that.
