My current wip is based on steampunk sky pirates and faustian bargains, and my main characters basically fight the three fates and the devil. Criminal pirates and stuff, plus sky fantasy stuff like dragons and flying ships.
My wip is about this girl who with a ragtag group of friends basically 'saves the world' but at the same time the concepts of protag and antag in the world I'm writing is pretty obscure so there's no one right side. ahh that probably makes no sense but it's still in the outlining stage.

The idea that's stuck with me from middle school is a norse mythology based book about my MC,son of Loki, enemy of the gods and they don't trust him and he must prove he's not like his father and there's ragnarok and blah blah
The other idea is set in Salem in the middle ages about a girl who finds out that she is truly a witch and there's a contract with the devil and they fall in love and I'd describe it as Dorian Gray/Carrie????
And I haven't explained much the last idea but it's a high fantay story about a group of people chosen by the king that must return something only to find out that there are reasons for their leaving that only the king knows

girl,I already know I'm going to love this I need to read it asap

I will definetely expand on them and hope people will like it,fingers crossed!!

I'm currently writing a cult-y story about this girl who was born on an island called Home (verrryyyy creative, I know) , but she's now finding out weird things that are going on... like a secret library with books written in another language ! and one of the higher ups had a bloody knife and was walking around at night trying to find them !!! Also, on this island they are told that they are the only island in the world and that there are serpents in the water. This is why they never swim or fish. The food is given mysteriously from the higher ups. (hUmAns OoOOoO)
The main character, Penelope, is aspiring to be the head of their hierarchy (it's like a school, with the children, the teachers, and the mysterious leader, and the janitors..best i can explain) and does extremely well in school. She studies hard and is devoted to their religion and Lord Scelus, their god.
Her best friend, May, is kind of a rebel. She likes to question and often wonders if their religion is really that ethical. She discovers most of the weird things going on and Penelope is kind of in denial and doesn't want to open her eyes.
Basically, soon (I haven't gotten to writing this part yet) May and Penelope are going to figure out that a huge sacrifice is about to happen and the new leader is going to be the only survivor. (in this case penelope would be the new leader considering how hard she works for it) and the leader will start the cycle over again, stealing babies from the other island to raise for another mass sacrifice. Penelope is STILL on the fence after this information. She knows that she wants to save her friends, but what if this is Lord Scelus's plan and she must do this?
I'm not good at making blurbs so I'm sorry if it's confusing lol. Also, a lot of the hierarchy has titles but I forgot them (it's been a while since I worked on the story) so I just used the closest thing to them.
EDIT: ALSO MAY AND PENELOPE ARE GETTING TOGETHER. PERIODT.

np! thanks!!

oooohh niceee found family is one of my favorite tropes!!! good luck!

the synopsis already sounds interesting.I don't think that thhere's need to be a certain plot,to be honest.Sort of like a contemporary.Maybe have the brother disgregard his depressed brother bc society back then didn't care about depressed people but he somehow at some point realizes that he can help him?

yea i realized i could just make it contemporary lol also thanks for the idea I might try it and see if it works!

ahhhh this sounds so interesting I love witches good luck on anything you dooo

Yassss good to hear that :D

I love that!

I have up to chapter three done so far if you want to check it out! Feedback would be great!

That really means a lot, Tqsm!!!

Yeah that's all I its about.

The other one is dystopian, it follows three different girls in a future India, where there's a lot of poverty because of an ongoing war, when threads begin to unravel that suggest that there's a huge reason for the war that's been concealed by the government, and if it keeps going it'll eventually lead to the Earth's destruction, so there are multiple POVs, with the three eventually meeting and teaming up to try to stop the war..
I'm working on the second idea right now, I've uploaded it in the Goodreads Creative Writing area, I'd love more suggestions on the writing style, characters, plot, etc :)
(You can find the link to read it on my profile :D)

I'll check the link out"
Thank you, that means so much!! <3

Thank you!! I'm working on them, hopefully I will :D

The first is currently about a girl who ran away from her family of witches, to become a magical law enforcer. She does this because becoming a law enforcer is the only recognized job on the island of criminals and outlaws, that can give her a promotion to work for the pristine capitol, along side the king himself. Her goal is to make the king lift his strict laws on witches, and to help people see that magic isn't so bad...even though that's what she tells herself. She just hates her identity, and actively refuses to learn how to use her own magic.
The problem is, she's running out of options now that the king has disappeared and her division will be shut down. She's offered a chance off by marrying her enemy, the captain of her small unit, who turns out to be from one of the most influential families in the capitol. His family in particular is the most closest to the kings family-thus making them suspects for the kings dissapearnece. He promises her he can get her a position in the castle if she pretends to be his fiance for a while.
IT's all over the place and I'm still struggling with the premise, but it's not toxic I promise. The captain also has his own mission and he just needs her as a fiance to distract people from what he's really doing. Also it's not a savior type of beat...he himself (spoiler alert) is a witch.

So cool!!

That sounds like a heartfelt story in the making

my books are all stupid romance stories"
Romance isn't stupid it's LIFE!!! It's the feel good stuff I always fall back on when I'm sad!

What do you have so far, if you don't mind me asking?
Ok, I feel like I should elaborate on my plot a bit:
Alright, so we have Capella, a fiery female pirate in this steampunk/floating island world. (her ship is pulled by metal dragons, it's lowkey epic) She hears of this mission given by some high-up person to forge this really awesome sword and she decides to take on the challenge to build her reputation and stuff. On her way, she is joined by Felicity (an Icarus retelling), a merchant's daughter searching for freedom from her curse, who's a half-mechanical angle, Zenith, a male siren-like creature who's cursed to be wanted by all but loved by none. Felicity and Zenith need the sword to kill the Fates to break their curses and write their own destinies.
Cobalt, an upstart pirate lord who built his fleet from nothing, (and Capella's old employer, she stole her ship from him) is also going for the forge (where they make the sword is this epic forge mountain thing) but his ship crashes early and he's picked up by Capella and her crew because, as much as they don't really like him, they can't just let him die. He has the map to the forge, after all.
Soon, Cobalt and Capella realize they have more at stake than just fame. The Fates have cursed them too, and this could be a matter of freedom or confinement to destiny for the rest of their lives.
aaaand other political stuff that I'm not in the mood to write out.

ahh thank you! capella is kind of epic, though it's a struggle writing her because I usually do much more demure, strategic characters instead of someone brash like her. I like it, though.
